September has been the host to the Great British September Clean up. It started on the 11th and ends on the 27th but Id like to think its something we are all doing when we can. Here are some ways you can help; 🚮Join a local beach, park or area clean up if you want to do it in a more organised group. Not entirely sure how that would work now given the rule of 6.... probs not possible 😷 🚮Organise your own in small clean up with some friends. Hey it can be socialising too! 🚮A lot of councils now offer street champion kits so check your local councils website for their litter picking kits. 🚮Go out with your family (kids love it) litter picking around where you live and your local area. Know your gear, know its limitations. A lesson in humility. The unbreakable has finally broken 🤣 Ive never owned an aad in 12 yrs of skydiving. One reason is the canopy size VS speed limitations of AADs. I meant to turn the device off for the jump when I switched wings. I got distracted and forgot. I did a BIG turn (1170 for shits n giggles) with a good snap. On the roll out I heard a POP and felt my body slam forward into the harness like a giant air brake. I instantly knew what happened 🤦🏾♂️ Im 200ish feet of the deck with 2 canopies out. Control was impossible with the 66 Petra. I grabbed the reserve toggles and was able to manage heading. It was pretty reasonable. Landing was pretty damn soft buuuuut. . . Foot got caught in a soft dirt hole (kinda like a gopher hole) and snapped sideways. What a fucking idiot. Anyways. . .
