- I’m impressed with the Acoustic Research AR4x when I received it this afternoon and plugged it in with my Marantz 2285B and played a couple of songs with Amazon Music. It sounds warm and balanced enough to my ears. It sounds clear and it has enough bass to complete its package with the 2285B
