Seasons of transition are hard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This man is preparing to start his masters program *WOOOOOOT WOOOOT* but that means he’ll be working full time and going to school full time. I am in the thick of wedding season, gone most weekends and honestly connection has been hard. The adjustment from convenient connection to intentional connection hit us like a train and it wasn’t until sitting down yesterday that we realized we hadn’t transitioned our habits to fit in this new season of full schedules. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So tonight we are doing a few things to make sure we come out of this season even stronger and more in love: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ reassessing our family plan (aka our guidelines for how we’ve agreed to live our life - think of it as a constitution for your family) ✨ planning the date nights for the next few months ahead of time so we don’t feel the stress of planning when life is already so full. ✨ plan one little trip in the midst of the crazy that is longer than one day - to decompress, reconnect with each other + Jesus. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t let busy lives hinder intentional intimacy in marriage.
