At some point, Mal and I graduated from two twin beds to each having our own bedroom. Still, for the years that followed, I would fake cry outside of Mallory’s door at bedtime until she would let me come sleep with her in her room. I would try* to sleep in my own room but I was always too scared to fall asleep. I’d fake cry until she opened the door and let me in because to be with Mallory was to be safe and no longer afraid. Even though she knew it was fake, she undoubtedly let me in every time, and with her I could finally find rest. - Cute new babies I got at a local craft show, happily out of their plastic cages.
On September 5th, 2020, my amazing partner sadly lost their battle against cancer and passed away. She was the love of my life, and I wanted more then anything to see them on my wedding day standing right in front of me. I’m happy I was able to propose the day before she passed. I was so happy I started crying. It hurts me so much knowing she’s not with me anymore, but I’m glad I was able to spend her last minutes with me. I wanted to make this post for everyone who is close to me and new comers. She was a huge part of my life. I will be posting my regular content soon as I have sponsorships, but I will still be talking about Carolyn and including her in my artwork. I want her to live on in our memories. Tomorrow I will be attending her celebration of life, and I may or may not post pictures from it, if not here, on my personal @zion_the_turtle I hope you all are doing well 💕 thank you for all the love and support for those who knew. I was nominated a few days ago to do the #challengeaccepted thang that’s been popping up on social media lately... and as much as I live for posting cute photos of myself and an instagram trend, it felt weird to post about women supporting each other by posting a photo of my own mug. Plus, the whole point of the challenge apparently originated from bringing attention to the femicide going on in Turkey (❗️).
