🌸Карантин и итоги. Сегодня во Франции мы попрощались с разрешениями на выход из дома в пределах 1 км, открылись многие магазины, салоны, люди вышли на работу. Обязательным осталось лишь ношение масок в общественном транспорте. Мы можем перемещаться в пределах 100км. 🌸За эти два месяца пребывания дома, я прошла большие испытания. Well, jeg tror godt vi kan blive enige om, at høj faglighed faktisk en indiskutabel. Men faglighed kan komme til kort, hvis fundamentet som det bygger på, er vaklende. Og med fundamentet mener jeg det grundlæggende menneskesyn. For de overbevisninger vi har om det menneske, der står foran os har i mange tilfælde en større betydning for effekten af de tiltag, som vi iværksætter - end selve tiltag. Særligt i smertevidenskab er der i disse år stor fokus på, hvordan en behandlers overbevisninger - og ord de bruger - fx om, at patienten er i stykker kan forværre patients chancer for at blive smertefrie, selvom de bliver sat til at lave alle på papiret rigtige øvelser. For at skabe varige forandringer hos andre mennesker skal vi starte med at pudse de briller, som vi ser andre med. Og for at du lykkes med at skabe en forandring, som holder - er det faktisk afgørende at du vælger en behandler / træner, som ser dig som et HELT og kompetent menneske. The last 4 years have FLOWN BY (𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 1 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦𝘴 - 𝘋𝘔 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 & 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦) and I honestly wish I would have slowed down a little bit more during all of it. Looking back, I felt the same way about college, high school, prior jobs, etc. It’s a chronic western society issue. As future doctors & medical professionals, we have an incredible amount of things on our To-Do list each day. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱. @jvn would be so proud of me right now! ▫️A slow weekend morning with coffee ▫️a hike in nature ▫️listening to music while you get ready for the day ▫️driving around with the windows down ▫️treating yourself to a massage or a dinner out ▫️a walk around the block ▫️etc. The term “self care” as been blasted into the health & beauty industry as a way to profit off the stressful life Americans experience (& honestly, I wish our culture respected stillness more). ~A Plant Person~ 🌱 There is a ‘cat person’, a ‘dog person’ and then there is a ρlαɳƚ ρeɾsσɳ 👩🏻🌾 I have been a plant person for 3.7 years now. Have 19 plants indoors 😏 It’s a therapeutic hobby; I mean it’s cheap therapy and the by-product is beauty 🧿 If the plants get what they need, they thrive and that’s how you know that your plants are happy with you! Following are my top tips that helped me to keep my plants alive as a beginner: 💦 Water little! just enough to moisten the soil. Watering too much is bad ✖️ ☀️ Place your plant close to sunlight, learn how much sunlight your plant requires 💨 Air the space/room, open windows frequently Soil - add compost every month or 2, all-purpose is the best! 🚿 Spray your florals with water every morning ❌ Change is bad. Gradually introduce any change, even change in place 🌵 When repotting, make sure the plant holds its place in the pot and is not lose, then water it! Some of my plants on the window sill are outdoor plants but they are happier inside, I see new buds appearing and blooming everyday. There is nothing a little love and care not do! Я написала всего 10 пунктов, но они очень важные при уходе за волосами😍 Я буду рада вашим сердечкам❤️ ⠀ Приступим... 1. Перед тем как идти мыть голову, нужно обязательно расчесать волосы – это снизит вероятность ломкости, если они где-то спутаны💁🏼♀️ ⠀ 2. Шампунь выдавливаем на ладошки, вспениваем и распределяем на кожу головы.🧼 Важно❗️Моем только кожу головы и корни, т.к основная грязь скапливается именно там. ⠀ 3. Пену, которая образовалась у корней просто спускаем на кончики волос. этого достаточно, чтобы промыть волосы ! Отдельно на волосы наносить шампунь НЕ нужно – это приводит к сухости. Так же НЕ НУЖНО волосы❌: - тереть - стирать - жамкать -шоркать и так далее ⠀ 4. Моем голову 2 раза. ❗️ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО❗️За одно мытье мы удаляем с кожи головы лишь поверхностные загрязнения (грязь с улицы, остатки стайлинга или несмываемого ухода) Второй раз мы очищаем кожу головы от кожного сала, которое создает тот самые эффект «грязных волос» ⠀ 5. Смываем шампунь ТЩАТЕЛЬНО, чтобы на поверхности кожи головы не оставались элементов щелочи🛀🏽 ⠀ 6. Бальзам/Кондиционер наносится на отжатые руками волосы от середины длинны. На корни не наносим, чтобы не было эффекта прилизанности и «грязной головы» ⠀ 7. Смывать все теплой водой. От горячей воды сальные железы работают быстрее, от чего кожа головы быстрее жирнится 🚿 ⠀ 8. Аккуратно выжимаем лишнюю влагу с волос полотенцем. Полотенце можно носить на голове не больше 5-10 минут🧖🏼♀️ ⠀ 9. Наносим термозащиту. ⠀ 10. Приступаем к сушке волос. How quickly life can be flipped on its head // This is a LONG post, so prepare yourself 😅😔 . I’ve been weighing up whether to share this journey with you all. It’s a very personal story, and I’m not jumping on here to warn anyone off having breast implants, as I am all for them, but that there are ramifications that go along with them 😞😬 I originally had mine done in 2010, after many years of extreme exercise I lost a lot of size and shape. I was also getting into fitness competitions, so looking and feeling more feminine in a bikini was important to me. I had no issues with them after I got them done, and I loved them. They looked very natural and I carried on after the recovery process with no issues what so ever. Fast forward to 2017/2018 when I started getting into power lifting and heavy lifting, I tore my right pec muscle when aiming to deadlift something crazy like 120kgs for reps. I was pushing my body way too hard, I wasn’t warming up properly, and well, my ego has a lot to answer for I guess 🤷🏽♀️☹️. Power lifting never agreed with my body, I was always injured with lower back pain, and then the pec tear, which I had to manage as I carried on with my training and did my first novice comp not long after I tore it 🤦🏽♀️ I carried on training and I was being careful, but my pec never came right. Not just that, from all the bench press and chest work, my pec muscles have developed in a way that caused the socket the implant was in to stretch. This on top of breast feeding Leo and how huge my boobs got during pregnancy, they didn’t look or feel that great anymore 😕. I decided to see my surgeon in Melbourne and we had booked in to get the implants replaced and the pec tear sorted in early 2019. Then I broke my foot 😫😤 So the pec pain and the surgery was put on the back burner while I had to focus on the foot saga. After dealing with that huge set back, I decided to move back to Nz, and was planning on flying back to see my surgeon in Melbourne a few months after we were settled. I used to have a lot of shadow around being deep or feeling heavy emotions. Keeping to myself and suffering silently felt better than sharing all my ish with other people. I didn’t really have a healthy demonstration of how to process all my shit that holding it in my body is all I knew. I’m grateful to have had a breakthrough with these “heavy” emotions and use them as fuel to learn about my life and understand my purpose. To the person nervous or anxious about getting out of their comfort zone, know that letting go of your old identity, old behaviours and unhealthy habits is scary. And though change is uncomfortable the person you are becoming is worth it. To the person in the thick of their journey and feeling discouraged, reflect on how far you’ve come thus far and trust the process. Everything is unfolding as it should. To the person struggling with consistency in your efforts, start small with the changes you are making. Perhaps you changed too much too quickly. Set one realistic and achievable goal at a time. Your small successes will be your motivation to keep going. To the person ready to throw in the towel as things get hard, know that you are more capable of accomplishing extraordinary things — far more than you realize. To all of you, wherever you are in your wellness journey, know that living a healthy lifestyle is not linear, it is not finite nor does it need to be perfect. MY TIPS FOR MEDITATION🕊 if you asked me a few years ago if I would ever meditate I would have laughed in your face. Not because I thought it wasn’t a powerful tool, I simply thought it was an impossible thing for ME to do. My mind runs a million miles a minute. I am the queen of over thinking, of deep thinking, over analyzing, all of it. So the idea of “not thinking” seemed simply not possible. But that isn’t what meditation is!! It’s not turning off your thoughts, its noticing them and moving past them. Meditation has made the biggest difference in my mental and physical health. I seriously can not recommend a daily practice of it enough. But keep in mind it’s exactly that- a practice!! Here are some tips that helped me: 1. Use an app, program or a YouTube series to learn how to do it. I love @headspace because they walk you through what to do and they also have series that focus on different topics like anxiety, happiness, letting go of stress, etc. 2. Find a calming and comforting place to meditate and try to make that the place you do it when you’re first learning. Your body will remember and associate the feeling you experience with that spot. Mines this chair:) 3. ITS OKAY if some days you just can’t focus. I would say 60% of my days are like this still!!! It used to be 90% then 80% then 70 etc. it takes time and practice but some days you just can’t do it and that is OKAY!! Don’t beat yourself up over it. We’re not trying to be Gandhi level over here. 4. Use a mantra or count your breath. People think meditation is not thinking at all but that’s not true. It’s noticing your thoughts and letting them pass. In @headspace when a thought arises you’re taught to notice your thought. State in your mind if it is thought coming from emotion or thinking.
