Yesterday was a rough one. After a 2yr battle with hip dysplasia and DM, we had to come to terms and decide that it was time to let this guy go. A huge thank you to everyone who helped him get his wheels and kept him mobile the last 3mo of his life. He was spoiled and we tried our best to keep him as comfortable and as happy as possible. K-9s LeMans, Bax, Edge, Lethal, Edo and Stori got the vests, which will protect them from bullet and stab wounds. The dogs and their handlers work at Harris County Constable Precinct 1. The dogs vests weigh 4-5 pounds and have embroidery on them with names of other police dogs who lost their lives. Edges vest has embroidered on it: Honoring those who served and sacrificed. Today, Abby completed her first week of radiation treatment. At the end of each week they give us a Progress Report and we were happy to see that it was all positive! โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ We think she did excellent this week and we didnt even have to cajole her to get out of the car this morning. She jumped right out when we arrived and was so happy to see her nurse - her new BFF. Its a stark contrast to the beginning of the week when she didnt want to get out of the car and was trembling with fear.
