Jeffrey James Caswell was one of the most innovative and brilliant people I’ve ever met. He taught me how to think big and use my imagination. He also taught me to work hard but never have expectations, so as to not be disappointed. Although he was a bit older than me, we had bonded through our love of Jimi Hendrix’s music, and we really related to each other through pursuit of our own separate passions, his being recumbent bicycles, and mine being music. I owe so much of who I am to Jeffrey, and am incredibly grateful for what time I was able to share with him. Jeffrey died in a tragic accident at his home. Our life is sweeter and happier than I ever could deserve because of this man. They don’t realize it because he’s all they know, but our kids have won the lottery in their dad. How he genuinely cares for us and wants time together — he’s a daily picture of Christ-like, sacrificial love. It’s not lost on me how rare that is.
