The consumption of dates in the final month of pregnancy has been shown to improve labour and delivery outcomes AND they’re delicious! 😊️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉 A study on 182 women consumed 70-76g of dates per day from the 37th week of gestation was effective in decreasing length of the labor processes and reduced the need of oxytocin for labor acceleration (510 minutes vs 906 minutes). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉 Consumption of dates also resulted in a significant reduction in induction compared to non-date consumers (28% vs 47%).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Interesting isn’t it? Did you know dates could help decrease the time you spend in labor???⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Another study also revealed the consumption of 60-67g of dates per day for the last month of pregnancy, until the onset of labour pains, was associated with greater dilation then their non-date-consuming counterparts! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These statistics would encourage any late pregnant woman to consume 5-6 dates per day! Parents of 2 or more kids! I need to know, how well do your kids get along? DJ and Kennedy are 5 years apart and they have quite the unique relationship because they have such different personalities. Kennedy has the most vibrant, outgoing personality and she is full of energy and has PLENTY to say at ANY given moment, while DJ is literally the chillest kid ever and is as cool as a fan. (Trust me it wasnt always this way), so he and Ken definitely butt heads because he would much rather be left alone and Kennedy is your typical little sister. She demands the room and will NOT be ignored lol These same personality traits trickle over to other areas of their lives like their personal style. DJ likes it easy peasy. 4 years ago...the video at the end. 😭💫 My sweet newborn boy River, that moment they put you on my chest. When I looked up and saw the people I love most, looking down at us with beaming smiles. Goldie gave you a stuffed kitty cat and said “he’s mine. My baby bruddy”. It was heaven on earth. I had that minor bleed with you at 9 weeks so in the back of my mind, the entire pregnancy....there was a chance I could lose you. And there you were, sweet chubby healthy rolls, black hair, a furry back and the biggest hands. I have never shared these photos or my birth story with River here yet but I wrote a blog post about the entire experience just days after and never set it live. The AW20 collection was super ready, had been photographed and was rocking! All stores were in complete uncertainty. We did not want to give up on the collection. Annie on a lockdown mode started designing to relax. Raining hearts, hugs, hands, colors. Whatever she was missing was included in her designs. For an infant feeding campaign TVC will be made up of mums breast feeding, breast pumping, using breast pads, bottle feeding and showing what real breastfeeding boobs look like. We want mums who are happy talking about their personal feeding experiences, tips etc. It’s about empowering women and celebrating mums and their unique boob stories! 6of6 Yes I saved my placenta and ate it and I used a yoni steamer for my postpartum and both were so amazing and I HIGHLY recommend More to come on that later. Homebirth was something we never could see ourselves doing. Not because we were against it but I didn’t see myself as one of “THOSE” people. I loved the birthing center with Olive, I wanted to go away where I wouldn’t have to be in my own space lol and turns out home birth was one of the best experiences of my life and being in your own space during labor is actually amazing. Walking a few feet to my bed after having Wells and not having to get up again or go anywhere until I was ready was a gift. I am so so grateful for a midwife that was/is supportive of autonomous birth, supportive of a healthy pregnancy (mind soul and body), knowledgeable on so many topics, willing to risk it all to serve women in this way. Through offering parental control, the parent gives birth to desires about . . . . . . having more freedom. . . . experiencing more cooperation. . . . the child having a good life. . . . the child being ready for the world he will step out into one day. . . . being understood. In other words, this co-creative, contrasting experience is causing everyone involved to launch more rockets of desire and therefore to Vibrationally expand to those new places. And the only reason any of them ever feel negative emotion is because, in the moment of their negative emotion, they have not yet allowed the expansion. Life caused them to become something that they are not currently allowing themselves to be; and both of them, parent and child, are using the other as their excuse for not being it. . . . Dax is coming up on his 6th birthday in a couple months and we still don’t have a diagnosis. Ryan and I recently had his IEP meeting to discuss re-evaluation, assessments, and where we were at with diagnosis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The school psychologist listened as I fumbled my way through Dax’s history from infant to today. Going over the list of symptoms and the list of tests and doctors. A tangled mess of a roadmap that seems like it leads nowhere. I held it together without a tear even though I crumble inside anytime I talk about it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then the psychologist said, “it’s complicated when you are dealing with low muscle tone in relation to the mitochondria and genetics. It takes time.” He was so understanding and the rest of the IEP meeting went smoothly and with genuine care and concern for Dax’s future.
