Not your typical teen mom.. In life you are given hundreds of different situations, and its up to you what you do with those situations. When I first had Haylee I had bought a car for 3,000 dollars [ended up selling it for a $50 bill, but thats another story] The car ended up shitting the bed and there I was 16, with a new born and a car that wouldnt start. My mom and dad told me that they would cosign for me to get a new car but it meant going back to work full time at A&W [yes I flipped mama burgers for years] In this situation I chose to work. And thats what I did. I could have worked there forever if I wanted to BUT I chose not to. I eventually started serving, bartending and then found fitness. I worked at a gym taught classes and again.. I could have worked there forever but I chose not to. I chose to build my online empire. Scary? YES. Worth it? YES. I made the choice to become a hard working, bad ass teen mom. Now this post isnt to promote teen pregnancy.. This post is to inspire you to start making CHOICES that make your life BETTER. This post is to remind you that some situations in life arent ideal. Some situations are HARD. Chances are, I can know what point of my life I met you based on what iteration of my name you call me. I’m named after my Abuelo, Brian and my grandmother, Anne. My whole family calls me Brea and I went by it until university when all my professors used my full name, Breanna. Then, at work everyone started calling me Bre that, I’ll admit, I hated until I didn’t anymore. So now it’s Brea, Breanna or Bre. When we named Everly, we loved the short form Evie as well. We call her E, Ev, Evie, Evers, Everly and Everly Adelaide when she’s not listening. I initially planned on writing “Babe” on both jackets and having them match. BUT then I allowed Everly to choose her colour - sparkly magenta and she told me that “Babe” is not her name and that her name is Evie and to put Brea on mine. She can also read her name so there was definitely no way around that! Well, the longest spring break ever is coming to an end. What a blast! About 6 weeks ago I ran fairly conservatively and qualified for Boston with a time of 2:56 on an easier course. So going into this race I wanted to run it a little more aggressively even though it was a tougher course. Not only did I accomplish that I ran personal bests in a lot of my shorter distances. I never really started falling apart until about mile 17 and still didn’t slow up too much. 💔Last 2 weeks I haven’t felt like me. To be honest I’ve just felt an overwhelming discouragement. Healing has been longer than I was hoping: My left joint feels 100x better, but my right side chronically hurts as it’s repairing itself. I’m always 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards with something. I’m hopeful + discouraged + determined + defeated. I’ve never experienced an emotional rollercoaster like this even throughout all my pregnancies.😂 SO, whenever something in my life (a person or thing) - some fact of my life - is unacceptable to me, I struggle to feel any peace. It’s crushing and lonely. These last few weeks I’ve been pushing against the unfortunate fact that healing will take longer than expected. For now, my prayer this week is for acceptance and relief. I’m resisting/realizing that practicing true acceptance for things I can’t control is the only way to find serenity today. I didn’t realize how scary it is for me to practice surrendering. It feels just too...vulnerable. But in the same breath, I’m leaning on my faith, and deepening my love for the Savior as He stays with me when all I want to do is curl up and cry. Sometimes I wonder if He’s there, until I’m floating when I should’ve been sinking. “He loves to heal and restore what we cannot”. This week, I’m praying for acceptance & peace from the only source that’s ever truly pierced my heart. 💕Now, this sweet family of mine is slipping into their pajamas to snooze this Sunday away. Back when the girls were of similar development, when I couldn’t tell the differences between them and people just saw identical twins. Recently Olivias been so much more chatty, but actually making sense, so at night time now she always says ‘night night mummy’ , she is constantly saying Thankyou and now responding and communicating with me what she wants. She’s dancing and singing clearly to songs and films and she can tell me who she wants, Mummy, Ava... she even calls for her cousins and Luna dog! I am so so proud of her, more than I could ever explain given her developmental delays and she seems to be catching up to her age now. When she says night night my heart melt. But it’s so bittersweet for me to think that Ava may never do it , she may never talk, or call me mummy and tell me she loves me. She tells me with her eyes and her smile and I’m so grateful for that, but it’s one more thing I have to grieve for. We are thankful for all of the hardworking blue collar workers. Last night I had a dream that I had another baby 😳 and it was a boy! Too soon to think about that. 😂 Although if every baby was as good as Alexia I would have 5 more. She slept from 10pm to 6:30am last night! 🙌🏻 I don’t have any major sleep secrets to share... but I think that 2 things have always helped both girls. 1. Have a routine each night. Stick to it. We always do bath, pjs, bottle, swaddle, down to sleep. 2. Keep lights on during the daytime and keep us super dark at night so baby knows the difference between daytime naps and nighttime sleep. I’m sooo not the expert! This is just what worked for us. But I can’t stress routine enough. Even when Audriana was 1-2 years old I never strayed. She’s slept 12 hours since she is about 5 months old. And you could totally go into her room with a marching band in the middle of the night and she still won’t wake up. 😂 Got any sleep tips that worked for your family? - @stephanielindaparadiso on Instagram

September 21st is a VERY special day! Because 10 years ago on this day is the day I became a mom! ❤️ To this incredible little girl! She is smart, beautiful, artistic, insanely quick witted and sassy as can be. She is confident and hilarious, even if it’s at my expense a lot of the time. 😏 Roasting her mom is one of her favorite hobbies. Aside from singing, baking and art. 10 years ago, I was an 18 year old girl having a baby! With no idea how much my life was about to change. Or how much love I was about to feel. I had to grow up at an expedited rate, and although it was really hard at times. I wouldn’t change it for anything. This little girl was everything I needed, My little best friend that I get forever.
