My friends, Ive been alive 3.5 decades, and I spent 1/3 of that time living a lie. I was in a career that was so far from who I truly was, and I felt like I was pretending every day to try and be someone I was not. I didnt belong in an office quoting interest rates and pretending to care about what the Minister of Finance had to say about economical forecasts. But for 10 years, I set my alarm every day, put my pant suit on, and went to work. I slapped a smile on my face, and told myself to be just be more grateful. Finally, the Universe slapped ME in the face with a wake-up call that STILL shakes me to my core every day, even though it happened almost 10 years ago now (cant believe it, it feels like 5 minutes ago). A close family member was diagnosed with a terminal illness, whom wasnt all that much older than me. He passed 11 months later after months of suffering in excruciating pain. I realized then, REALLY realized then, that I was just EXISTING in my life, I wasnt truly LIVING it. So my world was knocked out of orbit, and I took a path less travelled. I left my job in finance, and I pursued my childhood dream of destination wedding photography. With the help of AMAZING mentors, coaches and teachers - I became a full-time, award winning, magazine published, world travelling wedding photographer. And after just a few years of living a life I once was CONVINCED would NEVER be possible for me - I realized there was only ONE THING that could be better than this.... Showing other women how they could do the same. To transition from EXISTING and going through the motions of life in a soul-agonizing way - to truly LIVING and deliberately creating the life of their dreams, their heaven on earth, their truly SOUL ALIGNED life - FULL-TIME! And to become an inspiration for those around them to do the same 3 I believe that every single person on this planet can, and DESERVES to live a life true to their Soul, and Ive dedicated my life to this mission over the last 5 years. I posted this in January 2020. This sofa talk I had with my hubs God just brought back to my mind. ❤️ I said a couple things that have COME to PASS ALREADY. One, I wanted a VEHICLE to FUND the clean water wells God had placed on my heart to build for OVER 4 years. Two, my WORD for 2020 ACCELERATE. I told my hubs this is the year God is telling me ALL that I’ve gone through, learned and have accomplished will be ACCELERATED in something else. I don’t know what, but it’s coming. 🤍LOW MAINTENANCE BLONDE🤍 @kailee_dee Wanted to be blonde as possible without having to keep it up as often as a full root bleach out. She is a natural level 6, so I added a partial set of highlights on top of her old balayage that was done back in December. I added a few foils around her back hairline for when her hair is put up. I also gave her a root tap during the toning process for that seamless grow out. Kailee will be back in 12 weeks for another partial and then her following appointment we will asses and see if we need to freshen it all up with a full head of highlights at that time. How quickly life can be flipped on its head // This is a LONG post, so prepare yourself 😅😔 . I’ve been weighing up whether to share this journey with you all. It’s a very personal story, and I’m not jumping on here to warn anyone off having breast implants, as I am all for them, but that there are ramifications that go along with them 😞😬 I originally had mine done in 2010, after many years of extreme exercise I lost a lot of size and shape. I was also getting into fitness competitions, so looking and feeling more feminine in a bikini was important to me. I had no issues with them after I got them done, and I loved them. They looked very natural and I carried on after the recovery process with no issues what so ever. Fast forward to 2017/2018 when I started getting into power lifting and heavy lifting, I tore my right pec muscle when aiming to deadlift something crazy like 120kgs for reps. I was pushing my body way too hard, I wasn’t warming up properly, and well, my ego has a lot to answer for I guess 🤷🏽♀️☹️. Power lifting never agreed with my body, I was always injured with lower back pain, and then the pec tear, which I had to manage as I carried on with my training and did my first novice comp not long after I tore it 🤦🏽♀️ I carried on training and I was being careful, but my pec never came right. Not just that, from all the bench press and chest work, my pec muscles have developed in a way that caused the socket the implant was in to stretch. This on top of breast feeding Leo and how huge my boobs got during pregnancy, they didn’t look or feel that great anymore 😕. I decided to see my surgeon in Melbourne and we had booked in to get the implants replaced and the pec tear sorted in early 2019. Then I broke my foot 😫😤 So the pec pain and the surgery was put on the back burner while I had to focus on the foot saga. After dealing with that huge set back, I decided to move back to Nz, and was planning on flying back to see my surgeon in Melbourne a few months after we were settled. Then along came covid and border restrictions 😳😤 I was so over it, and I really needed to get this sorted, it had gone on long enough(continued in comments) - @justine_switalla on Instagram

Yep...that’s me. 🖤 Amanda got me all tanned up last Wednesday morning to celebrate my 13th anniversary at @theelmshotelandspa. We used the rapid tan at 11 am, I rinsed at 2 pm and this was at 6 pm that night. Tans take 24 hours to fully develop but I still had great color just seven hours post-tan. Fun fact...the black lace halter I’m wearing is actually the top of my wedding dress. 13 years later and I can finally zip it right up again. I know because I was sexually abused for 8 years. In my own home. In my own bedroom or pool house or in my fathers car ... I was not his daughter, I was his object. I was 7 when it began. And I was 15 when I ran away the first time. I share this NOT FOR PITY or for HIGH FIVES. I share this because I AM A SURVIVOR and grateful for my entire life. I share this to show anyone - male or female - that it is possible to lead a healthy, loving, productive, and normal life beyond the abuse. You wear your disordered thinking, eating and self loathing like a COAT OF ARMOUR. I know — been there. I have an amazing story: I had my father arrested when I was 39. He was prosecuted and found guilty on all counts. 18 separate charges but multiples of each. He stood trial and was sentenced to 10.5 years in a federal penitentiary and served all 10.5. It was precedent-setting. I did this alone. No partner or husband to lean on. All by myself. I’m so proud of this. I am so “healed” because I got to sit in a court of law and say YOU DID THIS TO ME AND ITS NOT OKAY. All the years of therapy to fix what I didn’t break has not made me resentful; it’s made me whole and grateful. If we share a past or any of this rings true ... I’m sorry. My mother wrote a letter to me before she passed. In it she wrote “Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens... Not by what life brings us but what attitude we bring to life.” At the time the statement made me livid. I had a long period of my life where I was residing happily in a victim role and felt appalled by all that had happened TO ME. I expected and invited negativity because it perpetuated the pity party was throwing for myself. It wasn’t until recently that understood what my mom was saying and I began welcoming seemingly negative events into my life because I knew they were actually opportunities for growth. Do I feel this way all the time... definitely not. But the more that I maintain this mindset the more incredible and positive things come my way. Oh how I wish you were sitting in my kitchen with me right now, smelling the AMAZING Pomodoro sauce my husband has simmering on the stove. This is a recipe we included in my mother’s cookbook that we gave to her/our friends & family at her memorial service 7 years ago. She was a phenomenal cook, at one time owned over 3000 cookbooks and when she really liked something she would always say, “This HAS to be the best - whatever she was eating at the time - I’ve EVER had!” As her passion was the culinary arts, she could name every spice & ingredient of what we were eating when we went out to restaurants.
