A lot of times, we as humans feel like the world is crumbling around us when sorrow hits our soul. It feels too big a burden to bear, to much to want to care. However, in sorrow we learn the most. How to be strong and plant our roots, little by little growing deeper so when strong winds come, and they will...we are firmly planted because our sorrows are the roots that stabilize our hearts until nothing can bring us down. Some winds may break branches, other winds may blow our leaves away, but we are never to be torn because we are creatures of resiliency. Suicide prevention month is year-round and I hope that in the moments of darkness you reach out to those you can count on. For those who feel they have no one: there are plenty of resources out there and can always reach out to me to find out more. Take care of your mind everyone.
