I did something today super out of the norm. I scheduled time with a personal stylist at a gorgeous boutique to S H O P for myself. 🛍 This might seem weird to some as it seems many love to shop. That’s not me. I don’t hate shopping in general but I’d prefer shopping for my home or the kids or skincare or my business over clothes shopping any day of the week. Last month unpacking I realized most of my clothes are at least 5 years old, probably half of them I’d say 10 years old. Good for the environment and our budget but when I decided to work on my personal website and brand, whoa, what do I wear that isn’t leggings and a flowy top? 😂🤷🏼♀️ But today I talked about clothes and shoes for 2 hours and had a great time doing it. Heather Jane & Co is a new business venture set up by husband and wife Heather and Steve Bowyer. All items in the shop are designed and made by independent south west based craft makers. We have 31 different crafters mostly Cornish. Steve is the former Head of RHS Garden Rosemoor and Heather a former florist and visual merchandiser. We took the keys to the shop at the beginning of March and fitted it out during lockdown. We were eventually able to open on 15th June and are very pleased with the response from the customers to date.
