We join in remembering and celebrating the life of Michael Glancy and his unique impact on the glass community. When Michael first came to Pilchuck as an instructor in 1982 - he taught specialty classes in sandblasting and carving that integrated his innovations in electroplating on blown vessels, a signature technique he came to be known for. He shared his knowledge with artists at Pilchuck many times over the years, including most recently in 2011. As we extend our condolences to his family, we share our gratitude for his many contributions to the field of glass and the impact he had at Pilchuck Glass School.
