Polk Street and Eldridge Avenue I am pleased to inform that my office worked with the Urban Forestry Division to prioritize these locations and trim the excessive vegetation that was blocking the street corner stop signs. Sometimes the work of local government is one parking spot at a time. A constituent reached out to request the No Parking Any Time sign be moved to match the pedestrian safety bump out. DPW got the job done this morning @ Jersey & Bright. This is a view looking down John st towards the railway station, from the CBA crossing. If you look closely enough, you can recognise some of the old buildings that are still in use today. John st used to be a two way street, but sometime in the past, it changed to one way, to make more room for pedestrians and parking. Last weekend, we joined some neighbors to chalk support messages on the street around the corner from us that is called (wait for it) — Via Corona. You may have seen this on @KUSINews last Saturday night! . I flew my drone with a floppy gimbal and on the wrong settings but the street looked pretty cool and everyone (with the exceptions of families of course) stayed 6+ feet apart. . It was nice to get out as, truthfully, its been a difficult few weeks especially since my business revolves around travel. I have good friends around town in hospitality furloughed. My inbox is full of stories and struggles from local businesses around town. Ive been paralyzed because I cant figure out what to do about it (hence the silence on IG) or whether I can actually help in a time when my own website traffic is down. .
