Dont get me wrong, I understand why a vaccine for Covid is important to create, and there are plenty of people who took care of their health and still were knocked out or even killed by COVID, and there is still a lot we don’t understand about this virus, but from the research thus far, for the majority of serious or fatal Covid-19 cases, the risk factors are primarily old age and having underlying chronic conditions. And we know that 80-90% of chronic conditions are related to diet, lifestyle and environmental exposure. So while this pandemic continues to rage on with no clear end in sight, remember that the 100 choices you make a day are your true healthcare. Now for the elderly and disadvantaged people, they can’t make these choices. They don’t have access to healthy food or live in places with high levels of environmental pollution or it’s unsafe to walk in their neighborhoods. It’s heartbreaking. So in their honor, if you CAN access healthier food, and you can move around, and control your vices so you sleep well, do. A mask and proper prevention measures may help you avoid getting Covid, but once you have it, your immune system is your best defense against this virus, and your daily habits and activities play a major role in the strength of your immune system. Again there is still a lot we don’t know about this virus, but the data shows most of us have the tools we need to fight COVID already, we just need to make sure we’re using them.
