“Love” It all started with a ball. @nike 📸:@cibellelevi Ball=Love ( ⚽️=❤️ ) Where ever I went, there you were. Something I was able to invest in, grow with and it returned my love 10 fold. You know, I’m not like many others who might use the word “Love” lightly. Love to me translates to very strong passion, obsession, sacrifice... but more than sacrifice... dedication. People often associate sacrifice with bad things, like things you can’t do, but I chose not to do certain things in dedication of love. My love for ball is what elevates what the word love even means to me. It sets a standard where I don’t want anything to do with something that doesn’t compare to that. Ball has truly defined what love is to me today. When I was first asked to shoot with this ball and asked what it meant to me... I thought back to when I was a kid, back to some of those sacrifices. Friday nights with my dad at the park getting extra touches in when I could have been out with friends. I left those same friends in California to go off to college. I didn’t drink throughout college, didn’t go out much at all. Thought it was a distraction. I always knew how much I wanted it. I knew how much I put in, and I knew how much I cared. I mean everyone has their pre game rituals and preparation but even with romance.. (Which I have a soft spot for) I was a no funny business the day before the game kind of guy. I gave my mind, body, and soul to the ball and you made me feel alive. You gave me my wildest dreams, you gave me confidence in self, the belief in faith, you allowed me to travel the world, and for that I’ll always love you. I would do whatever I had to do because when you love something, nothing else gets in the way. My love is focused like a laser beam. There’s only 1... and it is forever. For all of those who know me, I hope you understand today. All the nights you didn’t see me and the years I was away. Dari elevasinya, Cuaca extremenya (Tahun lalu Hujan Badai, yang sekarang Matahari Pantura ada 11 rasanya), maupun medan rutenya.Pokonya the best deh Om @bobbharuna @agus.yuliyono kalo bikin rute 😏. • Dan untuk Audax 300 sekarang ini cukup banyak drama yang ngebuat perhitungan waktu meleset dan mental down, dramanya yaitu : 1. Mules2 dan akhirnya BAB sebanyak 2x di 80km pertama, kebayang kan ribetnya lepas pasang bib untuk itu. 2. Pecah Ban 3. Ini yang bikin mental drop : Ketinggalan Handphone di Check point KM 241, dan sadarnya setelah nanjak curam kurang lebih 4km, yang alhasil mau gak mau turun lagi untuk ambil handphone saya dan kembali mengulang nanjak. 4. Susah shifting gear (sangat berat) di 2 tanjakan terakhir diakibatkan hood Brifter yang gak cocok dengan brifternya nyankut dituas shifter. Ini ngakibatin tangan kanan bengkak sampe post ini dibuat. 5. Dari Tangkuban Perahu (KM 26) - finish KM 300 sepedaan sendiri 😔. • Namun dari segala drama yang kira-kira membuang waktu saya sekitar 2jam lebih. Alhamdullilah masih bisa finish Under COT dengan waktu tempuh 19 jam. • Seperti biasa saya selalu bersama sahabat dan mentor saya untuk Long Distance Ride mas @endot0408 , namun beliau ada sedikit masalah dipinggang pada saat start, jadi saya jalan duluan, karena yang udah2 walaupun saya tinggal beliau ujung2 pasti disusul. Tapi Alhamdullilah dia finish under COT. • Ini yang baru, ikut audax bareng @nick_thebarbership @rezman @coachoka . @ultraczech515 DAY ONE: 10k swim + 145k bike: 1st place, 6:37. We started into cold rising fog and finished under hot sun. I felt great in the water and fought for the lead for the first 2k portion. One wrong turn cost me roughly 50m and I stayed on my own. Tried for the next 8k to come back, but still felt a minute short. 2:51 was 4 minutes slower, when my record breaking race last year. Onto the bike it took me 20k to warm-up and take the lead. From that point on, I kept steady pace all the way to the finish with 39.2 kph average. And as much as we want you hooligans to come in and start smashing the weights again, we had to do some remodeling to keep everyone safe! First, we converted the back outdoor section into the main training area. We bought 5 new squat/bench racks! Second, we’ve added two new Deadlift/Olympic Weightlifting platforms outside built by our very own BB staff! Shout outs to the team coming together to make this happen! Lastly we’re keeping the Dumbbell Racks, Cable Machines, Leg Press, GHR, Reverse Hyper, and Pit Shark all open too! To maintain proper social distancing, only 10 members will be allowed per block and the rest of the gym will not be available for use. There will be canopy on Thursday, August 13th!! What do you say to yourself when it starts getting tough? #3 @jeffultratrail of @teamcauchon « I tell myself that each step brings me closer to my goal. I concentrate on the present moment and list the few things that are still going well. This helps a lot to put the difficult moment into perspective. It will pass eventually and these positive thoughts will make it seem shorter. After 35km, I was already using this technique ... the race was gonna be a toughie! I didnt get the training I wanted this summer due to work, but it was a deliberate decision to race Harricana and I had decided to go on my 2018 [Harriacana 125 km] times. Big mistake. The 2020 Jeff was not up to the 2018 Jeff and I started out way too fast. I persevered by putting one foot in front of the other and facing down the pain. That’s the beauty of ultras, sometimes the mountains win! | Tour de la Gaspésie so here’s what we’ve been working on... in Just about 2 weeks, this group of amazing yet crazy human beings and I are heading out to Gaspésie to do the famed Tour de la Gaspésie... on foot! 1000K, relay, night and day. As you might know, Gaspésie has had its fair share of irresponsible tourism this year. This project came to be as our friends at @tourismegaspesie , challenged us to come up with an inspiring and sustainable way to visit the region. And of course, running was out first thought! The warped, slow temporality of running will allow us to “feel” the mythical nature, relate with its frontier artisans, and experience an adventure like no other, all in complete respect and deference to the natural and human ecosystems we will interact with. When a mate proposes a ride involving gravel, beaches and beer, we’re legally obliged attend. So to celebrate King (@cosmojmb ) Kong punching out another lap of the sun, a small crew of top blokes set off on an awesome mini adventure in Auckland’s wild west. To time the tide we set off at a gentlemanly hour and our crew included Cosmo and @nferigo on the flat bars, Big @gwatttt and Adrian on the gravel bikes and of course your two favourite blokes. The first hilly slog out to Huia, is broken up by some nice walking path gravel along Exabition drive after you leave Titirangi. With a taster of the fun to come when the road turns to gravel on the climb over to Whatapu. From the car park, the next kilometre or so consists of very much borderline rideable soft sand as you make your way through the dunes to the water but my god is it worth it. Still only 40km from the CBD you’re riding on hard packed sand along the beautiful and wild west coast. It’s 12k down the beach to Karekare, most of which is fast and smooth but watch out for a few soft spots and based off Adrians experiences on 35mm tyres, 40mm or bigger would be highly recommended. This stretch however offers some of the best gram and new DP potential this side of a trip to Bali, so make the most of it. Upon running out of beach you again encounter some soft sand as you make your way back inland to Karekare. There are plenty of spots for a picnic and to sink a couple quiet ones by the river, an opportunity we made the most of. The Lycra clad birthday boy was presented a gift in the form of a @garageproject Growler which, dispassionately he failed to crack into meaning Bloke 1 continued to cart a kilo of beer through the Waitaks in a bar bag. After your snacks and refreshments, it’s straight into the slog up Lone Kauri road, but soon enough you’re back on Piha road then Scenic drive. It’s basically downhill all the way home (or to the pub for this crew) from here, so enjoy the decent back to Tits and be sure to search out some wifi to start uploading your quality content. All in all, not our longest day on a bike but with a great group it sure ranks up there in best days on a bike. #coupleablokes - @coupleablokes on Instagram
