Robert är en riktig veteran hos oss, med hela 35 år (!) som anställd. Och mycket har hänt sedan han började på vad som då hette Spintab. ”Jag sökte jobb på Spintab, nuvarande Swedbank Hypotek, efter lumpen 1985. Min syster ropade på mig ”Det ringer från Svin-tab!”. Det var min blivande chef, Lars, och jag fick börja på ”Reversförvaltningen” som hanterade säljarreverser (eller ”Kapitalmarknadsreverser” som det så fint hette). Kreditmarknaden var hårt reglerad till 1985-1986 och en del av likviden vid en fastighetsförsäljning fick säljaren binda i en revers. Men sedan kom avregleringen och vi fick vår första större finans-/fastighetskris sen 30-talet runt 1991-1992! Mitt första minne går ända tillbaka till 1969, när vi gick till Postsparbanken (som då hörde till sparbanksrörelsen) i Farsta Strand där jag öppnade konto och de klistrade in ”frimärken” motsvarande det insatta beloppet i bankboken. 1970 öppnade jag konto på Stockholms Sparbank i Farsta Centrum och då fick man en blå sparbössa som såg ut som en kista! De hade valv också, dit vi fick följa med in – spännande! Jag har hunnit med en hel del roller under mina år i Swedbank. Idag jobbar jag som produktspecialist och kundansvarig för Sparbankerna inom Lending. Ska jag lyfta fram något som får mig att känna stolthet över att få representera Swedbank är det våra initiativ med ”Äntligen jobb” och ”Unga jobb” där jag har fått vara en del. Last week we said a sad but fond farewell to Andy from our finance team, whos hanging up his MINI driving gloves after well over 43 years of service. Andy, one of the nicest guys you could hope to meet, started as a maintenance apprentice back in 1976, when Elton John and Kiki Dees Dont Go Breaking My Heart was top of the charts. After finishing his apprenticeship he became a facilities engineer supervising the installation of major equipment, before moving on to apply his sharp mind to the world of finance in the late 80s, just as Kylie Minogues I Should Be So Lucky was doing the rounds. Asked about the secret to success, Andy said: To have a long and successful career I think it is most important to treat everyone as you would like to be treated yourself – with respect and kindness. That is quite easy to do when you work with good people and I am so lucky that that has been true for me. Fair play, sir.
