What do teepees and stationery have to do with one another? Although that sounds like the beginning of a joke, for me it’s about crafting something by ones own hands. It’s what my work is all about. This teepee was made by the Hualapai tribe here in Arizona. They set this up for people to see how they made homes through the years. I am always moved by HAND made necessities. Why are we as humans moved to adorn and decorate something so essential? Why does the form change when the function hasn’t? Why do we go to great lengths to throw beautiful elaborate parties when it’s only a day in life? But we do and have so for thousands of years. Every day the impulse to create useful, beautiful things and share them pulses through me and yet I still question why. My logical mind can’t make sense of it, but my hands continue creating. Бронирования палатки на 1 сутки- 2 000 рублей. После 1 июля - 2 000 рублей в независимости от продолжительности отдыха. ⠀ ✅ Можно ли к вам с животными ❓ ⠀ Если у вас маленькая воспитанная собачка, то почему бы и нет. Однако важно понимать, что мы заботимся о комфорте каждого гостя, поэтому оцените модель поведения вашего животного в незнакомом месте. Marfa and the Big Bend Experience DESERT BEAUTY, SMALL TOWNS, MUSIC, MOUNTAINS AND CURIOSITIES ABOUND • Marfa, Texas is a curious little desert town of 1,800 people in West Texas. The city website claims, “Tough to Get Here. Tougher to Explain. But Once You Get Here, You Get It.” Since I love back road trips, I’m not sure it is true about “tough to get here”, but it is more than a day’s trip from Boerne. There are two routes to Marfa: a 5.5-hour trip via Interstate 10 or a 7-hour trip traveling U.S. Highway 90. I suggest traveling one to Marfa and the other back home. • Marfa is known as an arts destination. The Chinati Foundation, founded by artist Donald Judd in 1994, displays huge indoor and outdoor installations on former Fort DA Russell army base with 34 buildings on 340 acres. The venue displays an “interplay of art, architecture and land – the austere beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert”. The Ballroom Marfa arts center hosts exhibitions, concerts and the Marfa Myths cultural festival. Some say, “It’s more than just a place. It’s a state of mind. Where you’ll find tortillas and teepees, Warhol and beer gardens. Where wide-open spaces evoke meditation and mountains invite morning hikes. Brody has been packed up for the end of the season (y’hear that, weather gods, END of the season) so it’s farewell bell tent 🤟🏼I’m thankful for the memories we’ve made - in particular my leaving to go to the bathroom in the night and coming back to it smelling like a sewer 🤢 Ta, boys. Honestly though, Brody has been like an extra room outside for the children to take shelter in this summer. We play this game, right, where mummy almost passes out blowing up the air mattresses, then the kids jump and bounce on them, deflating them within an hour. It’s really fun... . I’ve forced my husband into agreeing to {at least} one week of super healthy eating, so he’s pretty much ready to rip my arm off and eat it for breakfast. Thanks for the awesome pics! @ckim1189 📸 #Repost @themommingworker ・・・ Last night, it was as if ✨ pixie dust ✨ fell from the sky all over our backyard - transforming it into a 🧚🏻♀️ fairy wonderland 🧚♂️ to celebrate our little Lucy, turning five. 🖐🏻 We enlisted the help of Crystal and her team at @bostonteepeeparty to help make this important magic happen. They arrived with a giant tent ⛺️ that quickly transformed into a lounge that would make any seasoned glamper jealous ... filled inside with twinkle lights ✨, cozy cushions and accent rugs. The outside tablescape was perfect with a fairy woodland theme 🌳 ... fit for any fairy princess. The magic didn’t stop there. My husband Chris spent no less than four hours envisioning and executing his “Pixie Hollow Tree” complete with twinkling tea lights (hanging on dental floss) and a pixie dust waterfall - thanks to an aquarium pump and aggressive amounts of glitter. I am so lucky to be married to this kind, creative soul who cares so much about his children. This tree was made complete with special, whimsical fairy doors from @lularoseusa ... Lucy could not get over how perfect they looked. We started talking about how all of the fairies at her party lived behind the doors 🧚🏻♀️🚪 in the tree. These doors are a must have for any tiny human fairy lover in your family. (Psst ... keep an eye out this week for another magical idea from @lularoseusa ! I can’t wait to share it with you!) We had a special socially distanced party with our quaranteam ... clearly we were so focused on Lucy and her having fun that we didn’t take as many pics of the party in full swing! But, that’s a good thing because it means we were focused in the moment 💕 ... Thank you to all who have made Lucy’s last five years of her life so special - can’t wait to see what awaits her!
