Uma vez me perguntaram por que as grávidas gostam de tirar fotos nuas, ou semi. Eu não tinha resposta na hora, apenas deixei pra lá. Aquilo ficou na minha mente por tanto tempo que minha ideia inicial dessas fotos era em uma cachoeira e registrar meus 7 meses de gravidez, mas optei por fazer algo mais ‘conservador’ digamos assim. Acabei indo na onda daquela pergunta inicial, foi uma pergunta com um tom irônico e não queria parecer ser uma mulher sem pudor. Mas as imagens da cachu ainda permeavam na minha mente. Hoje refletindo (gosto dos meus momentos sós, sai muita coisa boa da mente) me peguei com a resposta na ponta da língua. Eis ela: durante a gestação a gente se sente mais mulher, não que eu nunca tivesse sido, mas a explosão de hormônios me fez sentir com um poder sobrenatural, a felicidade em mostrar o corpo não é por uma questão física/sexual/sensual atrelada ao prazer, mas sim a honra das mudanças que meu corpo atinge no gestar. Um poder cresce, você sente que pode tudo, você então entende suas ancestrais, tudo é magia. A palavra Deusa cabe muito bem nesse momento de vida. Sensibilidade aflora, você tem mais vida, amplia os horizontes e se descobre mais. A conexão com a criação e a natureza te traz esse anseio pelo estar ao natural, aliás, a conotação sexual se dá aos olhos de quem vê e não de quem enxerga a beleza real da vida. Vejo muita mulher com receio (inclusive eu) de mostrar o corpo, por medo do irão pensar ou falar, mas na verdade tudo vai de acordo com o sentimento da pessoa que está postando, se quer ter ar sexual, entao transmitirá essa mensagem. Mas acredite, uma grávida não quer te dar prazer, ela está sentindo o prazer todo em si internamente. If you’ve never heard of midges, you are lucky!!! . Yesterday our walk to the Fairy Pools was beautiful but it also became quite claustrophobic because these tiny creatures bite you and get in your ears and mouth and under your clothes - I put on some bog myrtle (apparently a natural midge repellent) all over me as you can see on my sweater. When I saw these nets in the stores all around the region I was kind of making fun of them. Now I understand! . Well I was going through my gallery and came across this today, its been three years since this picture was clicked by Vani @countolaaaf 🖤 and honestly it brings back a lot of memories, 2017 was indeed the turning point of my life, nothing has ever been the same since then , Changed colleges , started modeling, got into acting, moved out , moved back home, made friends, lost some , got into relationships and then the breakups, from partying every weekend to just wanting to be home, from wanting to make new friends to just holding on to the five people who always stayed , from arguing with mom to understanding the reasons why she is how she is , from craving for fastfood to just wanting to have Ghar Ka Khana , from wanting to be perfect to just wishing to be happy .. infact a lot of other things.. I just grew up... and I am thankful to all the expriences Ive had good and bad since last few years because it just made me the person I am today and at this very moment I dont really want anything more from life than just these little things to be happy. If only I could back in time to 2017 , Id definitely do a few things differently , but again that Arhana had to learn a few lessons which she did.. and yeah it really was important for her to grow .. and the best one was that the moment I started finding happiness in myself, I stopped looking for it in other things and people :) - @arhana13 on Instagram

Our newest board member is Naomi Stock. She grew up in Alaska and has been climbing since she was 4 or 5 years old. Over the next 15 years, she learned how to climb at the Alaska Rock Gym, competing on the climbing team there, and eventually she started to learn the joys of climbing outside. In the last three years she’s had the privilege of climbing throughout Europe while traveling for school. Although primarily a sport climber, she doesn’t object against bouldering or trad climbing. “Is this where it begins or ends?” I have edited maybe 5+ images and have hated them all. That’s the thing about creativity, it can’t be forced. I wasn’t expecting much from this photo because this photo had already been 3 other edits before becoming this one. I was just playing around with the image in photoshop when I thought of the character falling onto a blank page. Finally, an idea I was excited about! I have been having a very rough time lately because I haven’t been creating as much as I used to. Sometimes I don’t feel like a photographer at all. But what I need to remember, and maybe I’ll remind someone else who is struggling too, you don’t stop being an artist because you’ve hit a creative block. You’ll never stop being an artist. It’s who you are. Creating is fun and sometimes we put too much pressure on creating that it becomes the enemy. Don’t make art the enemy. Also, not every piece you put out needs to top the last piece you put out. Just make something! ❤️ I also wanted to quickly remind everyone that my gallery opening at Art Share LA is this Saturday October 19th from 6-9 pm. And it’s free! I’d really love to see you all there. I have a few people telling me they will be there for sure and just know it means the world to me because this is a huge deal!! Travelling with someone is a great way to measure your compatibility. On our first date in Australia, I took Julia to a waterfall. The most impressive one that I know. 😎 I somehow persuaded her that we had to swim at the base of it. It was autumn, and the water was freezing - but she was all in. Fast forward a couple of years and we were just getting settled into a 4 month stint in Hong Kong. Escaping the city to hike on the weekends. That’s where these images are from. I have a difficult confession: . I’m a very slow learner. . Excruciatingly slow. . Not sure if this is an actual learning diagnosis, result of some liberally diagnosed ADHD, being the youngest of a big family (a lot of observation and absorption of other’s opinions is required to survive all those fantastically big personalities 😂), or if I just require a lot of information before something really starts to make sense. . Either way, I take a long time and a lot of different tools - visual, tactile, auditory, social processing, internal processing, writing, movement, nature, seeing different people in different environments/lifestyles, opposing opinions, and the list could go on and on. And sometimes the lessons take years, with painful amounts of repetition. . I envy so many I know and love who can see, feel, and immediately respond from a place of ‘knowing.’ . Sometimes the timing is lovely and I’m grateful for the non-reactionary, slow-course meal approach to where I place my next step. It resembles the intention and deep listening I care to practice. . Other times the pace feels shamefully slow. Emphasis on shame... . Shame teaches us about ‘other.’ I am other than what is ‘right.’ Which means I will project judgement on others as they are not ‘right’ to reverse the mirror away from myself. And then the projection onto other people reflects back to my own shame, etc. Turns out it’s ALWAYS a two-sided mirror. . The cycle is painful. And useless. . I offer no advice, because it is my belief that unsolicited advice is often unwelcome and there seems to be plenty of advice out there currently. But, for myself I am working on some healing and compassion towards myself and my slow learning process. Without the shame, I find myself to be far more useful, focused, motivated, and available to try new things that may fail/fly. . Thank u to the teachers who sit with the slow learners like myself. May the fruits of your labor shine in whatever power your patience may gift us. I pray to make you proud. . Whether my pace is fast/slow, right/wrong, the important part is it’s mine.
