With a total of fifteen F-35B’s and eight Merlin helicopters, it’s the largest air group to operate from a Royal Navy carrier in more than thirty years, and the largest air group of fifth generation fighters at sea anywhere in the world. Throwback to 2015 - 3,2m aaaand 3,6kg RTF ✈️ this was my first big build and the first plane I was building every single part by hand. The whole design is done by me and this is all wood! I was proud as hell and this was such a big deal for me and this made me start to overthink the classic building techniques of model aircraft because I wanted to have something super light weight! Even the costs of building this was super low, only about 350€ for the whole plane, which was a lot considering I was a stundent going to school earning no money at all. This project got me and this was the start of Löbair! The flying characteristics were amazing due to the low weight. Looking forward to new projects ! The Lightning II will be delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) but is facing, together with sistership F-013, some construction issues that have to be solved first. In the meantime, all four F-35As from 323sq, based at Leeuwarden air base (the Netherlands) have flow together on 1 October 2020. The FACO Division also produces full wings for aircraft assembled in U.S., using composite and metal structures manufactured in Foggia and Nola plants (Aerostructures Division) and Venegono (Aircraft Division). The Arsenal of Democracy presented a video tribute on behalf of the Bob and Delores Hope Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense and other sponsors. The tribute includes footage of the rarest WWII aircraft and interviews with veterans participating in the aerial tribute, which can be viewed on the Arsenal of Democracy’s Facebook and YouTube pages. The authorization to fly through the Washington D.C. restricted airspace will expire today and rescheduling the flying portion of the program is unfortunately not an option. The Arsenal of Democracy Executive Committee released the following statement regarding being unable to take flight as planned: “We are disappointed that we could not deliver the planned aerial tribute that our World War II veterans and heroes deserve for their selfless service to our nation and the world. Hawaiian Airlines announced it will offer drive-through COVID-19 tests in select US mainland gateways that will allow guests to bypass the state of Hawai‘i quarantine and begin enjoying the islands from the moment they arrive. Hawaiian’s partnership with Worksite Labs will give guests exclusive access to drive-through PCR testing ($90 for results within 36 hours, or $150 for day-of-travel express service) from dedicated labs. The carrier expects to start offering the Droplet Digital PCR shallow nasal swab tests – a COVID-19 screening that meets state of Hawai‘i guidelines – around Oct. 15, when travelers who test negative within 72 hours of departure will be exempt from Hawai‘i’s 14-day quarantine upon arrival. Hawaiian’s initial labs will be operational near Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) International airports, with more testing locations coming soon at its other US mainland gateways. The PAK FA (Russian: ПАК ФА, Russian: Перспективный авиационный комплекс фронтовой авиации, Perspektivny Aviatsionny Kompleks Frontovoy Aviatsii, literally Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation) is a fifth-generation fighter programme of the Russian Air Force. The T-50 is the name of the prototype aircraft (though it is unlikely it will be the name for the production aircraft) designed by Sukhoi for the PAK FA programme. The aircraft is a stealthy, single-seat, twin-engine jet fighter, and will be the first operational aircraft in Russian service to use stealth technology. It is a multirole fighter designed for air superiority and attack roles.
