KORE 99’s goin up for auction! Half of the proceeds will go towards COPB (the collective opposed to police brutality) which is an organization fighting to eliminate police brutality in Canada as well as to educate the public on their rights and freedoms. The other half of the proceeds will be going towards the BBPA (Black business and professional association) which is also a Canadian charity that focuses on creating, supporting and encouraging black entrepreneurship, black businesses, and black empowerment. Change needs to happen and it needs to happen now. Police brutality needs to be stopped, police need to be held accountable for their actions and the system needs to change. I recognize this is a very very minimal donation but everything adds up. The Skis are bran new, still in the plastic. They are 182cm long and 99mm underfoot. Genauso liebe ich unsere typischen kalten, extrem stürmischen Nordseetage. An denen die Nordsee tobt und gegen Abend unerwartet die Sonne durch die Wolken scheint und man nur noch mit ein paar verrückten solange auf dem Wasser ist, bis jeder Muskel krampft und es einfach nicht mehr geht. • ^ Was ist dein absolutes Lieblingsprodukt von RRD? Das ist einfach – ganz klar die RRD Speedos mit Deutschlandfahne 😊 Nein, also mein Lieblingsprodukt ist das 4,6 Compact Vogue Segel und mein 86l HardCore Wave. Die Segel sind so neutral, dass man sie kaum wahrnimmt und lassen sich hoch fahren. Der 86L HC läuft extrem frei und ist mega spritzig. Beides in Kombination ist einfach genial. • ^ Was gefällt dir an RRD besonders? La Familia - RRD ist seit Anfang an anders und verrückter als die Anderen. RRD wird mit Leidenschaft geführt und fällt durch das ausgefallene Design auf. Beim Design und somit im Punkto Style spürt man die italienischen Wurzeln der Marke. Besonders finde ich auch, dass man bei RRD alles an Wassersport Equipment (Kite, Windsurf, SUP, Foil, Wetsuits, Surf,…) aus einer Hand bekommt. I’ll admit that I’m totally freaking out about getting older. I see it, feel it, my brain and my mirror remind me constantly and it’s an undeniable fact that I’m aging. I’m almost feeling anxiety in the fact that I will be 50, 60, 80 before I know it and I’m halfway there. 😭 It’s almost my half birthday and when is the last time you even thought about your half birthday...when you were 6?!? Well, I am because I’m 41 1/2 and I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be this old. My mom is in her 40’s not me! I remember my mom in her 40s for goodness sake. Then, I saw this picture we took boating tonight. It’s unfiltered, real, wrinkles, happy creases and eyes that tell a good tale. I cried as I looked at this picture so grateful I get to grow old with him and grateful for the wisdom and memories age brings. Now, I’d totally be lying if I didn’t disclose the three skin treatments I’ve done this month because as I told my kids when they kept asking what was wrong with my face, “Moms having a dermatological mid-life crisis.” 😂 How about you? My dear friend @rappasani post something a few days back that said : « Take your own particular form of fear and look at it without any mouvement of escape... » lol A few days back, as I was paddling pretty far from the coast, dolphins decided to join me along the way. I knew it was going to happen one day, I see them all the time when I m at the beach so I knew at some point it will happen when I am in the water. The first time they came out was right behind me and only the sound of their breathing caught me off guard. As it is pretty quiet up there, the noise was pretty loud and it took me a second to realize that it was dolphins. I decided to sat down pretty fast on my board and not move for a moment. The second time, they were right next to me and pass me in the most gentle way. You will think I will have reacted in the most magical peaceful way too, I wish I was that woman that was able to enjoyed the magic moment and the beauty of wild nature, and I was a little, but the truth, I was terrified. My mind went all over the place. What if they think I m something to play with, what if they kick me out of the board, what if, what if, what if ... It took me a little time to make my mind quiet, to listen to what was really happening and above all to realize that they were already far away and that the moment had pass and nothing happened. Yesterday night I thought about what Lao Tzu meant when he said : « There is no illusion greater than fear » So, Cheers to our fears guys ! It is a universal experience. I m going back this morning, with a little fear and hopefully With time and practice, I will remain calm in front of it when it happen again and just enjoyed the beauty of it. I still remember walking down the beach several years ago and seeing one of Reece’s skis for the first time. I must of spent about 30 minutes staring at it before I asked @kendrick.louis if I could take it for a paddle. I had never seen craftsmanship like it before. As soon as I sat on it I knew it was the only ski I wanted to race and train on. I’ve been paddling for almost 30yrs now and when I get on one of these @bosoceansport skis I’m like a kid in a candy store. Extremely honored and grateful to be invited to participate in the @bencarlson_foundation #BenDidGo 5.0, 30-mile prone paddle from Catalina Island to Newport Beach Pier on August 1st. I’m new to this type of paddling (started training last week around Newport), but hopefully the years of surfing and Capitola Jr. guards will help out. Big shout out to @veslpaddleboards for getting me dialed with this beautiful 14’ beast. I didn’t know Ben, but from the sounds of it he was a heroic lifeguard and top notch member of the Newport community, who lost his life in 2014 while saving the life of another, in the line of duty. This paddle isn’t a race, it’s a group event to honor the life of Ben, and raise money for his foundation, which supports ocean safety summits, junior lifeguards, and awards scholarships.
