🔸Hips and the Adductors! 🔸Strengthening and lengthening that groin area. .. 🔸The adductors can often get neglected in favour of the glutes when it comes to back, hip or knee pain but they are super important. . 🔸They originate from the pelvis attaching onto the inner thigh and act like bungee cords to decelerate stress to the Lower back and pelvis as we move from side to side such as in a golf swing, tennis or sudden changes in direction. They lengthen under tension. If they can’t do this effectively then this can lead to decreased performance or increased risk of injury. . 🔸This @stickmobility exercise works the adductors as they are lengthening. Tension and load is increased by driving through the stick. This helps us strengthen our adductors through their full range. The glutes work hard to control the position of the hips whist we add thoracic rotation and stretch out the spiral line. . 🔸we did this move tonight in our online stick class as part of a hip flow.
