Em todos os detalhes fui surpreendida e cercada por amor! 💛 Deu tudo mais que certo. Isso tudo não aconteceu porque orei e Deus atendeu meu pedido, aconteceu pq declarei a palavra e confiei naquilo que Ele disse que eu já posso acessar depois do que Ele fez na cruz. - Conclusão? Ele nos ama! 🙂 E faz infinitamente mais do que pensamos ou imaginamos quando entendemos e acessamos o que nos foi dado. Diet culture – where do I begin? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Diet culture upholds a system of values + beliefs that instructs our society to shrink ourselves into smaller bodies or to cut out foods entirely to lead to better health outcomes. It promotes that people who strive to make their bodies smaller are more disciplined and more worthy than those who don’t. Diet culture dictates that there is “bad” food and “good” food and that shame and guilt around food are important to keep us “on track.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But nope. That is simply not the case. Research is showing that that your level of activity, nutritious foods and social determinants of health, such as walkable communities, matter most. Health is not determined by body size. Let me say that one more time just in case you missed it – HEALTH IS NOT DETERMINED BY BODY SIZE. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am obviously an advocate for healthy eating and living (hi nyu nutrition) but there is a big difference between feeling restricted and stuck in a diet than having balanced and relaxed eating habits. Being healthy cannot be achieved through one facet of life. Nope – it is a lifestyle and I do mean this. We achieve health through mindfully feeding our bodies but not ignoring our cravings for various foods. Or we can achieve health through intentionally moving our bodies but not getting anxiety over missing one day of movement. Because think about it – in the grand scheme of your beautiful, fruitful life – that chocolate bar – that missed workout – will not make a difference. It is about patterns - not a diet. Vandaag is het Wereld Alzheimer Dag. Ik draag het hele jaar door een vergeet-mij-niet speldje op mijn tas en een vergeet-mij-niet sleutelhanger. Met dit symbool laat je zien dat we mensen met dementie en hun naasten niet vergeten. Ik heb van heel dicht bij de impact van deze vreselijke ziekte meegemaakt en vind het daarom onwijs belangrijk om er aandacht aan te besteden. Ik blijf hopen op een medicijn voor deze vreselijke en dodelijke ziekte. Vandaag maakte ik daarom een nail art geïnspireerd (als dat het juiste woord ervoor is…) op deze dag. Ik stempelde namelijk Trind Plump It Up op alle nagels. Daarom is de nagellak niet helemaal dekkend en ontstaat er een ruis. Net als in de hersenen van mensen met Alzheimer. A dica é terminar o delineado bem no cantinho do olho ao invés continuá-lo. Para isso, comece a delinear o olho a partir do centro e não trace toda a linha de cílios, já que isso pode deixar o seu formato mais arredondado. Hoje é meu aniversário, todo mundo sabe que eu odeio fazer aniversário. Mas este ano eu me perguntei por que eu odeio? eu costumava amar. Daí percebi que é porque todos os meus últimos aniversários eu passei extremamente deprimida. Acho que essa é primeira vez que eu falo disso aqui mas eu tenho essa coisinha, se chama Transtorno Afetivo Bipolar, e me faz oscilar entre uma personalidade extremamente deprimida ou eufórica. É muito cansativo, eu só descobri há pouco tempo, mas sofro com seus efeitos tem muito tempo. Claro que os remédios ajudam mas eu tenho feito um esforço do tamanho do mundo pra encontrar um equilíbrio, é isso que eu quero comemorar. Obviamente eu não vou ficar equilibrada pra sempre, nem estou curada. Mas neste aniversário eu estou me sentindo bem, inteira. Isso até parece pouco mas é muito pra mim. Talvez eu nem devesse estar escrevendo isso aqui, me expondo, mas esse lugar é onde eu posso me expressar, então queria dividir isso com as pessoas que eu amo e agradecer por quem está perto e vivência minhas crises e as entende, não é fácil. Ever since I was a kid I have always had my head in the cloud. 😅 I love watching the sky change its shade through the day. It is a real satisfaction. ✨🌛 FIVE mantras for loving yourself. The past month or so a lot of old thought patterns have moved to the surface and facing them and moving through them has been a little more challenging than usual. My beliefs are these thought patterns and stories show up again and again for us to become aware of them and claim peace and healing. My stories: I am not enough, I am not intelligent enough, I am not creative, I am stuck, I don’t have it in me to move forward, comparison comparison comparison, jealousy, imposter syndrome etc. But I am surrendering to re-write the stories and look deep down to explore the roots of each of them. Here are some of my mantras when I am feeling stuck in releasing these limiting beliefs. 1) I am exactly where I need to be. I am full of many gifts to share to the world. 2) I choose to see myself for the incredible and intelligent being I am. 3) I forgive myself for shaming myself for these thoughts and fully love and accept myself for who I am. 4) I attract self-compassion in all of the things that I do and let go of comparing myself to others. 5) I am the creator of a beautiful life that is uniquely full of my dreams, passions and desires. Não, eu não sou perfeita. E você não deveria esperar isso de mim. Eu não sou 100% do tempo gratidão, positividade e good vibes. Eu também me estresso, me frustro e me incomodo - e eu não preciso ficar calada, engolir meus sentimentos e fingir que está tudo bem apenas para passar uma falsa sensação de vida maravilhosa o tempo todo. Eu não sou calma o tempo todo - também perco a paciência, fico brava e tenho vontade de jogar tudo pro alto de vez em quando. E isso me faz sabe o quê? Igual a você. Humana. Se você quer alguém perfeito para se inspirar, essa pessoa não sou eu. Se você acha que seus modelos nunca podem errar, precisam sempre passar coisas positivas e jamais devem demonstrar suas frustrações e incômodos, está criando uma imagem que é irreal. Você só quer ver um mundo colorido, e quando o seu estiver meio cinza... vai pensar que tem algo de errado nele. Você não deveria criar uma imagem perfeita sobre alguém que te inspira e colocar nela todas as suas expectativas. Esse peso eu não coloco nos meus ombros porque eu sei quem eu sou. Não escondo meus sentimentos e não finjo que está tudo bem quando não está. Essa sou eu. Se você está aqui esperando só ver coisas positivas o tempo todo, sem ver o que acontece nos bastidores - as incomodações, os dias improdutivos, as frustrações - não vai ficar por muito tempo.
