Mosquito Control Section scheduled to spray in Hollywood The Florida Department of Health in Broward County has confirmed a locally acquired case of West Nile Virus. As a direct response, the Broward County Mosquito Control Section will spray organic larvicide as part of an integrated pest management approach that also includes public outreach, adulticide application and setting mosquito traps. Truck-mounted larviciding will be performed between the hours of 10 PM and 6 AM, weather permitting, now through August 22, 2020. (Swipe left to see the spray areas in Hollywood). Residents and business owners are encouraged to survey their properties frequently to remove any standing water in common mosquito habitats such as buckets, tires, planters, bird baths and fountains. By reducing the number of mosquito breeding habitats, residents will reduce the number of adult mosquitoes that could otherwise transmit diseases. The larvicide being used is VectoBac WDG. It is not harmful to humans, pets, bees, aquatic habitats or environmentally sensitive areas. The active ingredient is Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti, strain AM6552), a naturally occurring, biodegradable bacterial mosquito larvicide. It is certified by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and is registered for use by the US Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, VectoBac WDG has been reviewed by the World Health Organization and is listed as a recommended formulation for control of mosquito larvae. Broward County Mosquito Control Section continues to work closely with the Florida Department of Health and Code Enforcement partners in Browardโ€™s 31 municipalities to reduce the population of mosquitoes and their habitats. No two shoulder conditions or injuries are alike. Iโ€™ve certainly seen a lot of people that are dealing with tension in the front part of the shoulder but often all they do is try to โ€œstretchโ€ it to help alleviate that tension. But sometimes a joint is pissed off when it feels as though thereโ€™s a threat of instability; the brain will start to hunker down and create a protection mechanism to avoid further damage. This is where I believe choosing the right exercises to mitigate the discomfort and actually improve gliding surfaces and increase range of motion come into play and prove to be more effective. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Swipe over ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผto watch @next_nutrition performing this TOUGHASS side plank pressout drill. #badasslady 1๏ธโƒฃBy getting her into a side lying position it changes the forces of gravity. 2๏ธโƒฃBy performing a side plank we start to recruit some of the lateral stabilizers of the trunk which actually when you look at the anatomy we can see all the muscular attachments to the shoulder which include the #obliques 3๏ธโƒฃ by performing a press out motion with her top arm sheโ€™s going to facilitate a little bit better protraction of the shoulder blade she might improve her internal rotation over time therefore also improving possibly upward rotation. this is extremely important as I mentioned in a previous post about the shoulder it has an impeccable amount of degrees of movement and from my experience people donโ€™t need to stretch their shoulders anymore they need to make sure the shoulder is moving like a shoulder. This not only over-engages the upper trap muscles, which tend to be overdeveloped already, but it also puts the shoulders in a vulnerable position. If you ever experience shoulder discomfort during pushups, this positioning error may be the cause! - In the bottom photo, you can see that I have โ€œanti-shruggedโ€ my shoulders by creating space between my upper traps and ears. This helps to engage the lat muscles and relaxes the upper traps. I also have my elbows closer to my body, pointing about 45 degrees away, which helps to keep my shoulders in a more optimal position! Followed by some hip and shoulder mobility and finished with push work that included dips, Stalder press and handstand push ups. It was definitely time for her to begin her journey towards an unrestricted, pain-free life! โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” We are still working on gaining FULL range of motion + overall strengthening of shoulder girdle, but I am so pleased with how far weโ€™ve made it โ€˜till now. As you can see with this wall assessment, her shoulders and alignment have significantly improved. DAY 5 LUNGE Improve your strength, balance, coordination ,core strength ,dance moves etc These guys are a MUST in every program. Not everyone likes to do them as it takes a lot of mental strength but these guys will go a long way to improving your aesthetics or any of the above. LUNGE EXERCISE IDEAS:๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฆต -reverse lunge -Bulgarian split squat -walking lunges -step lunge -split squats -pistol squat variations PROGRAMMING SUGGESTION:๐Ÿ“– Unilateral (single leg) work can be very demanding on the body. Ask my clients! Walking upstairs or even worse going downstairs can be very dangerous after one of these workouts.
