So I have been asked to pack my bags and be ready tomorrow morning for a surprise trip! . . The surprise trip is in honour of my birthday...its a tradition which we have been following for some time now...each year we take us on such trips on birthdays...this photo is from February this year where I took him to celebrate his. . . . . In the Coromandel Peninsula , in the midst of nature a perfect getaway. . . We have few rules though, if its his birthday he can take his camera along and spend hours doing what he loves to do. If its mine, then he cant ( or rather shouldn’t) as being the birthday girl I get to decide! . . This time Mister is trying to negotiate a barter! This afternoon I just casually mentioned how I am not getting enough time to catch up on my painting. So he immediately suggests “ how about we keep 24th and 25th free and do some painting / photography on 26th” ! . . How clever ! I would like to believe that my Nanna Austin sent a little message to @j_arrod_ before he proposed on Sunday. She loved swans, and adored Jarrod like her own grandson. We stayed overlooking the Murray and all weekend we hadn’t seen any, until this morning as we sat on the deck. I think I nearly cried when I saw these two float by. Moments before Jarrod proposed, he hurried inside and I think he felt like she was sending him - in her own special way - a message to say ‘do it now’ So he did... We visited my grandparents on the way home and showed them the ring... I feel in my heart (as corny as it sounds) they are always watching over our lives, and are there for us from a distance.
