The primary purpose of the serratus anterior is to protract the scapula (pull your shoulder blades forward) and keep your shoulder blade against your rib cage during shoulder movement. Laatste set moet zwaar voor volle activatie van die krachtvezels dus 6hh is al genoeg (bijvoorbeeld 10/8/6). Doel is om in je training met de variatie aan oefeningen ieder spiervezel te activeren en in iedere hoek. • 3️⃣ Incline Dumbell Press - 3 sets x 10 • 4️⃣ Explosive Rack Press - 3 sets x 12 Explosief omhoog voor maximale shock in de spiervezels. On September 21st 1986, Roy performed a televised show, at Rockefellers in Houston, Texas. Previous to this performance, Roy had recorded two television specials; Roy Orbison live in Birmingham, Alabama 1980, aswell as Roy Orbison live at the Reseda Country Club 1981, but neither provided Roy with career comeback he aimed for. But, in 1986, Roy and Barbara (now Roys manager and producer for this television special) decided to record another live concert, this time at the famed Rockefellers in Roys home state of Texas. Eventhough this recording didnt supply Roy with a full comeback, it was certainly a stepping stone in his journey. That night, Roy was uncharacteristically tanned (hed probably been sun bathing at his new Malibu home) and was dressed in a long black jacket, a low cut shirt, leather trousers, white shoes and his Maltese Cross around his neck. Interestingly, in the audience that night were Claudette Orbisons, Roys first wifes, parents. They were shocked to receive the phone call from Barbara inviting them to the show. Roy and Barbara entertained Chester and Gerry in Roys tour bus, parked behind the nightclub. While Roy was performing in Texas, Bob Claypool from The Houston Chronicle interviewed Roy. He asked, how had Roy kept his voice as strong as it was twenty five years ago? I dont know... I havent lost any of the top end that I can tell. I dont do anything special for it... I dont baby it. Its just there, I guess. I was hurt many times by mean comments of relatives, strangers and even my mother for my skin tone. My first crime, as per my mother, was being born a girl and second crime was being dark for her taste. Double whammy! You couldn’t even fathom the amount of times I was lathered in gram flour or some other “remedy” to beautify my skin. As if being dark was a disease. I remember wanting to participate in a school play and I memorized all the lines for the lead role but when I auditioned for it even though I was the only girl who knew her lines, I still didn’t get the role. Instead I got to play the dwarf in Snow White. I wasn’t even considered to play the evil queen. I get it Snow White was white as snow but it’s a primary school’s play. Should skin tone really matter that much? When we came to Canada, my first day of school, a group of Bangladeshi girls called me the maids daughter because of my skin tone. Because being darker was only portioned to the working class; it’s the way she said it that hurts the most. I remember coming home crying that day. A Bangladeshi boy pointed to me and told his brother she must be from Sri Lanka, because there’s no way Bangladesh has brown skin tone. Oddly enough, the boy was the same skin tone as me. So Bangladesh doesn’t have brown girls, if you’re a brown boy it’s fine. Looking back now as an adult, I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry. I still remember those and numerous other incidents because it still hurts a little. Colonialism has seriously tainted the way people think. Otherwise why would there be all these products to make you “lovely” because clearly being fair is equivalent to higher status. Can you imagine how society breaks a little girls self esteem over and over and over again and how it follows her abroad and into her adulthood? European countries where the sun doesn’t shine, where you clearly don’t need the melanin to protect your skin, I can may be understand why their beauty standard is fair. But how could South East Asian countries hold fairness to such high regard. At what point did my skin tone became equivalent to dirty, undesirable, unloveable, unworthy, un-trustable.....this list of “un” goes on.. - @themillennialintrovert on Instagram
