Life is about timing. - Carl Lewis. Phew - yet another six working day week came to an end last Saturday night at 10 pm. All went well, we got an important test out of our way for another year and it was my first time attending one of these exercises. Everything was well organized and when we had to wait for other parties to complete their tasks, I was able to work on a small number of drone projects in 2020. Ive started to do some research for the southwest of the USA, because well be spending quite some time there. Ive got some places in Utah already in my mind and New Mexico looks very interesting too. 🇺🇸 Some other projects involve Switzerland. I want to find some time this year to go at least twice a month droning. This could be Zurich or anywhere in Switzerland. I want to desperately go back to Lucerne for another - longer - droning session. But this time in summer, and some blue sky shots would be pretty too. 🇨🇭 I also want to go back to the Normandy. I barely cratched the surface when I was there the last time. Also the castles in the Loire area caught my attention. I would love to drone there. 🇫🇷 And todays throwback shot is also a project Id love to work on. The Julier Pass. Day 60 spent at Jackson Hole, it seems circular to have spent both day 50 and day 60 at #JacksonHole. Day 50 was spent celebrating my anticipated #winter time off and day 60 was spent enjoying the new found freedom of no work on the visual horizon....what a difference a month makes. I slept in the #subaru last night with a low of -2, skied all day, enjoyed a not-exactly-poached hot tub to warm up, then bedded back down in the Subaru for another cold night with as many strategic layers as I had at my disposal...thank you #Patagonia and #kammok. I did this trip 8 years ago and again, it seems circular to do it again now. Met a lifelong Jackson Hole employee/guide to show me around today, exactly as I did 8 years ago...same Subaru, soooo much more life under my belt.... We started well this morning but I just couldn’t get a rhythm in the 2 stages before service. Then we had the tyre delamination on the first stage this afternoon which made it a tough loop with no spare as it was a bit rough in places. My driving has been pretty ok but we need to improve things a bit for tomorrow though. Gurnigel-Panorama-Classic Um 8 Uhr startete die Handbikergruppe. Ziel war der Gurnigelpass via Sangernboden. Am Anfang war es noch angenehm kühl doch schon bald brannte der Asphalt von unten. Beim langen Schlussaufstieg Sangernboden wurde es ernst. Denn ab hier wurde die Zeit gemessen bis zur Passhöhe. 13 Kilometer lang nochmals all out. @fabian_recher meisterte diese Aufgabe am schnellsten und kam nach 57min 20sek beim Zielbogen an. Nun war uns allen eine rasante Abfahrt gegönnt. RALLY DI SAN MARTINO 2020 🏎 Inizia oggi l’ultima giornata del @rallysanmartino_official_! Un rally purtroppo a porte chiuse causa...lo sappiamo già! 🦠 Per quest’anno, il passaggio spettacolare del tornante del Passo Gobbera a centro paese non ci sarà! Di conseguenza, onde evitare assembramenti abbiamo deciso di non posizionare il nostro solito stand per allinearci alle linee dell’organizzazione. Noi comunque siamo qui, ad aspettare i piloti a fine prova con panini con la salsiccia e birre fresche! Non sarà la solita edizione ma consideriamola un piccolo intoppo, un piccolo riscaldamento per l’edizione 2021! Vi aspettiamo come al solito al Bivio!
