Rolled the dice on an old favourite today! Mailman’s Track to the Summit of Clear Mountain and back. This run has some awesome rolling hills and a couple of “pinches” before the turnaround🤣 Variety is great as you can choose to run the spine of the Mountain as I did or hit the trails that meander down to Lake Samsonvale. Rewards are there with views to Brisbane City, Samford Valley and Glasshouse Mountains. Track Thursday! We can also call it Blister Thursday because ya girl didn’t pull her sock all the way up at the start of the workout so I got a nasty mark 😅. Workout today was a good one! ~~20 minute warmup ~~4 x 5 minutes on (7:50-8:15 pace), 3 minutes easy (actual paces: 8:06, 8:03, 7:50, 7:41) ~~13 minute cool down . . . Felt really good out there this morning! First speed workout in my Brooks Ghost 13s. Liked them minus the blister but that was my own fault! They have a nice bounce to them and I was a fan! Overall pretty proud with today’s work, even with the copious amount of sweat this morning! Nothing else to say today, except that if wearing a matching @runinrabbit outfit is wrong, I don’t want to be right ✌🏻. Happy Thursday kids! - @runwithchels on Instagram

Virtual Boston marathon done 💙💛 . Mission...don’t worry about time...just try to finish and not do too much damage lol ... As of yesterday I doubted this was going to happen. After last weekends long run I took 5 days off running to get my calf to heal. Well I felt the pain yesterday on my run so I stopped immediately and walked home...so today was definitely a gamble... . Virtual races are not my thing... and still aren’t 😂 26.2 lonely, wet, and somewhat painful miles, especially the last 10k. My only company was checking in on Instagram!! Till my phone was almost dead🙄 (Oh First time running that long with my phone too) I had a few quick water stops (grabbed a bottle of water) and one quick bathroom stop😂🤷🏼♀️ From 19 miles on I was afraid to stop because my calf was hurting and if I stopped I knew I might not start back up.. Thankfully my oldest daughter Sarah passed by me in her car, she was headed to my house, I had her hand me some water as I ran by with about 1.5 miles to go. I was running over 9 min pace at this time and my form had broken down badly! Well I think I ran every street in the neighborhood and I don’t want to run again in my neighborhood for a long time! 😂 . I’ve ran Boston 11 times, and I still don’t feel right counting this as a Boston marathon run, but it was definitely a memorable experience that I hope to never do again! 😂 This was for you Boston!! For all the amazing memories I’ve had running the real thing...today was my tribute! Congrats to everyone who ran! Yesterday was easily one of best, the hardest, and most inspiring days of my life. The weather was absolutely insane, raining every step of the way, sometimes torrential downpours and sometimes a bit less, and wind gusts of over 30 mph right in our faces. But despite all that, I had an amazing squad of DFMC team mates (several of us that managed to stick together for more than half the race), my dad who ran the last 7+ miles with me, and my loving and supportive boyfriend, family and friends who drove to multiple spots on the course throughout the day and stood in the miserable weather to cheer me on and give me wet hugs. Not to mention all the die hard, Boston Strong fans along the way, and support from friends and family near and far in the form of contributions to my fundraising for the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge. We ran this race for so much more than finish times and medals around necks. Every person on team DFMC has someone they’re running in honor or memory of, and most people have more than one. Every time the rain got harder or the wind blew stronger I thought about all the names I carried with me and pushed a little bit more. So to all my teammates, my family & friends, the volunteers, the spectators, and my Angels & Warriors, THANK YOU 🙏🏼 I would not have been able to finish with such a big smile on my face without all of you!!! 💕 #RunDFMC #BostonMarathon #MarathonMonday #CancerSucks - @karameli13 on Instagram

🎉Birthday Miles 26.2 🎉 . . . My goal was 20 miles but I felt good and strong, so I kept going and going. This is my first marathon ever, so Im currently on cloud nine. I am overwhelmed with emotions because I never thought I could run this far or run it under 5 hours. A team is a powerful thing. At the time I am writing this, over 1.7 million people pledged to Run with Maud today. It was an honor, and honestly pretty emotional for me to lead this live event at 6am for @myopenfit . And it was so inspiring to see so Openfit Teammates from all over the country run to show they care. A few hours later, I did the run myself while @j.go22 led the charge. Even more teammates and love and inspiration shared. As challenged by Jo, I even did the 26 burpees I would have had Ahmaud do if he had come to my class today. I kinda hate running, but Ahmaud Arbery loved it so today I ran for him. Every human on this earth deserves to run in safety, without fear. I love that today’s #irunwithmaud event was his High School football coach’s idea. A team is a powerful thing. I have had tears in my eyes all day thinking about this horrible crime, and more so when I think about what it would feel like for this to happen to an athlete I coached. Or a family member. I know that I am a privileged white woman and that even if I try, I can’t truly comprehend what it would be like to live in fear of violent racism.
