EL AYUNTAMIENTO PROCEDERÁ A LA FUMIGACIÓN CONTRA LOS MOSQUITOS TRAS LOS CASOS DE FIEBRE DEL NILO EN MUNICIPIOS CERCANOS El Ayuntamiento de Barbate informa a la ciudadanía que se va a proceder a la fumigación de diversas zonas verdes, parques del municipio y centros escolares, a consecuencia de los brotes de fiebre del Nilo occidental en la provincia. La empresa encargada va a realizar las labores de fumigación, tras incluir la Junta de Andalucía al municipio barbateño en el Plan de Actuación para el Control de Vectores Culícidos (Mosquitos). Todo ello, actuando conforme indica el propio Colegio de Veterinarios y tras conocer la denegación por parte de Diputación de Cádiz de practicar las mismas acciones que en otros lugares próximos por cuestiones de habitantes. Desde el Ayuntamiento ya se ha cumplido con la primera medida que aporta el Plan, que es la de informar a la población de las zonas afectadas de las necesidades de protección contra picadura de mosquitos y evitar las situaciones domesticas que favorecerían su cría. Algo que ya se llevó a cabo por parte del propio alcalde, Miguel Molina, en un comunicado y en un vídeo informativo explicando estos asuntos. Lo que se va a realizar a partir de mañana es la conocida como Fase 1 de Control vectorial: consiste en dar respuesta de manera urgente a la eliminación de mayoría de la población adulta de mosquitos y larvas que pudiesen estar asociados al brote en los núcleos habitados y en el límite periurbano. Por otro lado, cabe destacar que ya se realizó la fumigación pertinente por parte de la Diputación de Cádiz, en lugares como las marismas y otras zonas prioritarias de riesgo. De igual forma, se recuerda a la ciudadanía las medidas estipuladas por le Plan de Actuación de la Junta de Andalucía para evitar las picaduras de los mosquitos. - @ayuntamientodebarbate on Instagram

En este día 20 de mayo de otoño🍁, con cariño, el Cerro Apoquindo, en el pueblito llamado Las Condes. . 🐾Al llegar al metro Los dominicos, hacia el este, detrás de la iglesia, hay unos personajes que se dejan ver, los cerros y colinas Apoquindo y Calán. . 📜Su nombre, Apoquindo, tendría un origen prehispánico, cuando en estas tierras no había cemento ni edificios, sino que era habitada por Apoquindo el cacique o jefe y una comunidad indígena a cuyos dominios se le dio este nombre (Larraín, 1952) (ver lámina 2) . 📚Corresponde fundamentalmente a material sedimentario no consolidado fallado antiguo y reciente, aluvial, fluvial, glaciar y hasta volcánico con cenizas y pequeños lentes de piedras pómez (ver lámina 3, 4 y 6). . 📝Este Cerro, junto al Calán y Loma Los Rulos, son evidencia clara de la actividad de la Falla San Ramón, la cual como vimos en otra ocasión, es una falla inversa que levanta y alza el terreno, formando el pie de monte que se evidencia por cambios bruscos en la pendiente hacia el este (ver lámina 5) . ✅Hoy el Cerro se encuentra urbanizado en más de 50% quedando solo el flanco oeste parcialmente descubierto para observar y otros rincones. Afortunamente el avance urbanístico ha parado por solicitud de vecinos y acogido por la municipalidad, desde 2015 se construye un parque recreativo público y reforestación, cuya inauguración debía ser este año, pero el COVID19 no lo quiso. ¡Vamos a recorrerlo cuando podamos salir a las calles! Na današnji dan 2013. godine Thompson je održao svoj drugi koncert na Poljudu! :) 50.000 ljudi je uživalo u velikom koncertnom spektaklu, velikoj produkciji i scenografiji. Bio je to tek drugi koncert turneje Ora et labora i veliki odaziv publike koja je uživala u trosatnom spektaklu gdje su se pjevale tada nove ali i one starije pjesme. Nestao je onaj žal za slobodnim parterom iz 2002. godine, gdje je onda 7.000 ljudi ostalo ispred kupole hajdukova stadiona. Obožavatelji Thompsonova lika i djela od ranog popodneva okupirali su stadion Poljud. Pristiglo je više od 50.000 ljudi iz svih krajeva Hrvatske, Bosne i Hercegovine i cijelog svijeta, koncert je kasnio oko 45 minuta jer su obožavatelji još ulazili na stadion. Kao što je i bilo najavljivano koncert se odvijao u zaista impozantnoj produkciji. Postavljena je bina duga 60 metara, visoka 16 metara, s više od 359 kilovata zvuka, gotovo svaka pjesma je popraćena pirotehničkim efektima kako bi dala dodatni naboj. Posebne emocije kod publike izazvale se starije pjesme, ali i recital pjesme Maranatha, autora msgr. Ante Ivasa kojeg je recitirao Zlatko Vitez. I na kraju ćemo samo sa sjetom dodati da je na tom koncertu, u loži hrvatski vitez Zvonko Bušić dao svoj posljednji intervju za javnost. You’ve heard of Madison Square Garden I, II, III & IV? - how many know about the “jinxed” $132,000 Madison Square Garden Bowl (1932-1942) in Queens? Madison Square Garden Bowl was the name of an outdoor arena in the New York City borough of Queens. Built in 1932, the arena hosted circuses and boxing matches. Its seating capacity was 72,000 spectators on wood bleachers. The idea of the stadium came from boxing promotor Tex Rickard who died before it was completed. The Bowl, located at 48th Street and Northern Boulevard in Long Island City, was the site where James J. Braddock defeated Max Baer for the World Heavyweight title on June 13, 1935 -- a fight later dramatized in the film Cinderella Man. Braddocks first comeback fight against John Corn Griffin was also in the venue. Jack Sharkey and Primo Carnera also captured the heavyweight crown in the 1930s at the Bowl. But because no titleholder ever successfully defended his title there, the stadium was soon dubbed the Jinx Bowl. The Madison Square Garden Bowl was torn down during World War II to make way for a US Army Mail Depot (and also because arena management deemed it more economical to rent baseball stadiums for fights). Metal from the stadium was melted down to make bullets and other war materials, including those to build the Mail Depot. 35 years ago today Roy took part in the benefit concert for American farmers, Farm Aid. During the 1980s, American farmers were struggling as America had been hit by the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression. When Bob Dylan performed at Live Aid on July 13th 1985, he said to the crowd at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, I hope that some of the money thats raised for the people in Africa, maybe they could just take a little bit of it, maybe … one or two million … to pay the mortgages on some of the farms. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp found inspiration in Dylans statement and they set up, in just six weeks, their own benefit concert. And on September 22nd 1985, over 50 singers performed, at their own expense, at the 14 hour concert. The line up included the Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Bon Jovi, Glen Campbell, John Denver and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. After completing the Class Of 55 album, Roy and his band travelled down to Illinois to perform at the concert. He sang three songs, Crying, Mean Woman Blues and Oh Pretty Woman. Even though Roys voice was a little shaky, as he was still recovering from getting Bronchitis and Sinusitis the year before, the crowd still went wild for him.
