The first time in awhile..actually ever, that I’ve been comfortable in a bikini and posting a picture of it. Being healthy isn’t just what you eat and what you do for workouts, it’s what you think (especially with yourself). . Self love is seen as such basic ass thing nowadays but it needs to start being a main thing on your list of goals next to: gain weight, lose weight, run 3 miles a day, eat every single meal including some snacks, do 50lbs more on squat by the end of the month...HOW ABOUT CHANGING YOUR MINDSET TO LOVE YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT?! Yes, it’s great to have fitness goals and dietary goals but it’s also great to have self love. It’s just as important as those goals. . I’ve been working hard at my fitness and dietary goals (with setbacks like every normal person) but I see my flaws still. The thing is I’m okay with those flaws now and realize that I love or work on loving my imperfections just as much as the good stuff. I work on what I can and accept the things I can’t with open arms. It’s not easy but I train my brain just like my body/muscles. With time it begins to come more natural. . Smiling ear to ear in the midst of tragedy because GOD IS SO GOOD. This is my best friend in the whole world. This rubble behind us is her house. If it hadn’t been for all the craziness going on in the world right now she probably would have been in that house (I probably would have been too because that’s where I spend most weekends) but thankfully she was safe at her parents house when the tornado hit. It brought tears to my eyes driving through Jonesboro today. Not because of the destruction that the tornado caused. But because out of all of the houses and businesses that were destroyed there were ZERO fatalities. That is God’s work. There is no other explanation. My heart is so full. Jacky is literally the strongest person I know. We were literally rummaging through what used to be her home trying to salvage whatever we could and she kept a smile on her face all while making everyone around her laugh (as usual).
