- @naucalpan_edomx on Instagram

𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐨 - The Rural Gem of India Happy World Tourism Day 𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧. Around 1000 years back the Chandelas sculpted a beautiful new meaning of religion. They sculpted harmony of ‘Yog’ ( Yoga) and ‘Kama’( Desire), equating somewhere ‘sex’ with ‘religion’, which portrays #sex as pure and pious. A part of our lives. A blessing. It portrayed women not as an ‘sex object’ but as the epitome of power and purity. Women are the central spirit of the Khajuraho temples. They are portrayed making love, as fighters, as goddesses, as workers, as mothers, as lovers ! Epitome of life. #Khajuraho and #Chandela dynasty celebrated its women. Today, sex and religion stand opposite each other. Khajuraho paintings are now tagged by few as ‘Adult’ or even ‘Vulgar’. Today in 2019 this philosophy of religion and sex going hand in hand, seems like a dream. But fact remains ‘Khajuraho’ has lived this philosophy as a reality and even today a part of it stays alive and speaks strongly on ‘#yog’ and ‘#Kama ’. Temples at Khajuraho are an architectural marvel built with no cement or mortar or any binding . An amazing structure was built with interlocking technology. While the temples are famous for their erotic sculpture, sexual themes cover less than 10% of the temple sculpture. Most erotic scene panels are neither prominent nor emphasized at the expense of the rest, rather they are in proportional balanced with the non-sexual images. Hence, telling us sex is a part of our daily routine. . . . . #worldtourists #worldtourismday #workdtourismday2020 #indianarchitecture #indianheritage #travelphotography #travelindia #sundayfunday #khajuraho #sexandreligion #sextalinda #sex #localtourism #backpacking #backpackindia #madhyapradeshtourism #madhyapradeshdiaries #khajurahotemples #indiantemples #hinduism #hippievibes #hippie #worldwide #travelholic #travelbloggerlife - @hippiefoodster on Instagram

#visitlazio #Abbaziadimontecassino #Cassino #Frosinonr #travel #photography #nature #love #instagood #photooftheday #sky #beautiful #art #picoftheday #like #travelphotography #follow #sea #photo #landscape #instagram #sunset #sun #fashion #happy #life #instatravel #wanderlust #travelwriter #travelgram - @visit__lazio on Instagram

A Arte é Mágica.

A then and now picture of the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. . The top picture shows a picture, not older than two months. However, the bottom picture shows the same building, but 75 years younger, after it got damaged during the Second World War. . The Tor is located on Pariser Platz in the Mitte district and forms the end of the Unter den Linden boulevard. It is the main gate of Berlin and built in neoclassical style in the period 1788-1791 after the model of the Propyle (entrance to the Acropolis). The Brandenburger Tor is Berlins only surviving city gate. . Fun Fact: The statue on the building, a quadriga (two-wheeled chariot with four horses), a sculpture by Johan Gottfried Schadow, was taken by Napoleon to Paris in 1806 as a spoil of war. But it was brought back to Germany by a German marshall eight years later and proclaimed a symbol of victory. Since then, the goddess has been wearing a staff with a Prussian eagle and an iron cross with a laurel wreath. The original statue was lost during the Second World War. So the current statue is a replica made from a plaster cast which was made during the Second World War. The Berlin based company Noack kept the cast in its depot, unintentionally saving a part of history. .
