Its the epicenter of our lives. ⠀ ⠀ A true introvert in the hood, I stayed my ass inside most days, and was usually in long before the streetlights came on. But even that didnt shelter me from the realities of living while Black. I was on Hobart when wed had enough in 92, when the earth shook in 94, and the day we lost Pac in 96. ⠀ ⠀ I took my first steps on Hobart, dialed-up AOL for the first time, tried endlessly to decipher grown folks business, and learned the depth of family (play cousin or blood), and community at birthdays, block parties, card nights, and far too many repasts. ⠀ ⠀ Now, Im a little older, a little further west off the 10, #hardlyhomebutalwaysreppin. My mom passed a year ago, and @reparations.club was born about 6 months after. Were just trying to keep the spirit alive. Thank you to everyone thats supported us so far.
