Children are human, they have emotions, they hurt and they feel pain, they are not for anyone to treat like a property. Many people are in therapy because their parents raised them this way, they shouted at them instead of communicating with love which silenced their voice, they beat them instead of finding alternative ways to show them that a actions have consequences which has them living in fear and anxious around making mistakes or failing, they embarrassed them to teach them a lesson which makes them tolerate abuse and humiliation later in life from people in their lives, they asked them things like where is the other 1 percent when they did their best instead of affirming and celebrating them and helping them do better which makes them seek external validation and struggle to celebrate themselves. I could go on and on about how parenting like how most of our parents did affects us later on in life, if we are to create a less violent generation as Africans (and other nationalities), that is thriving holistically we have to unlearn some of the things that our parents taught us through and how they raised us if it is not serving us fully. We have to remember how it made us feel and want better for our kids, our parents didnt have the resources but we do and we can do better. Conscious parenting is not easy, it requires more intentionality, patience, learning and unlearning but it is worth it. Honestly, it’s really dumb, & often a waste of time, to date and get into romantic relationships with people who aren’t putting GOD first in their everyday REAL life. It’s always gonna end up at a dead end because God isn’t in it. It’ll be cute and fun for a short (& sometimes long) amount of time; & then GOD will usually end it because he cares about you & wants the BEST for you. God loves you too much to allow you to waste your time & settle for less than who/what HE has for you! Personally, I watch who/what l entertain DAILY. I really just want the BEST that God has for me...whoever and whatever that is. I’ll wait even when I’m uncomfortable & impatient. God’s plan is way better than my plan. I truly believe I live a pretty PEACEFUL life because of my mindset concerning dating/relationships...even though it’s a sacrifice. I could EASILY entertain things & people that l know are just VOID FILLERS; But l CHOOSE not to. It’s not always easy...but it’s super rewarding in the long run. I KNOW I’m going to have an amazing, healthy, & Godly marriage when God says it’s time. (No, I’m NOT against dating...just not into allowing people to fill the spaces that GOD should be filling. Heck, ANYTHING that’s taking the place of God turns into a hot mess! Could be food, Netflix, drugs, sex, money....the list goes on & on). To clarify, I’m TOTALLY not judging anyone’s relationship with God. I do, however, want us to keep it ALL the way real & admit that there IS a difference between someone who SAYS they love God; but don’t really show it in their actions...& someone who’s INTENTIONALLY LIVING & honoring God, with their words & actions, in their everyday life! Putting GOD first shows up throughout our ENTIRE lives. If we love him, well keep his commandments. Our love & devotion for Jesus will show up in every moment....everyday. We have to remember the MAIN point of why we’re here. We have to stay focused. We’re not here to please OURSELVES. It’s so much bigger than that. The skit is called “Ki-Mon-Chi Black Asian House” with the caption “where you can find the best blasian cuisine on the market. We give you the best customer service just for $5 more.” . The skit starts off with an African-American couple entering “Blasian House” and requesting a more secluded area. . The African-American female employee dressed in a Chinese outfit speaks in a fake Chinese/Vietnamese accent and replies, “Oh no honey, we very busy, but I do for you $5 more.” . As the female employee sits the couple down, she begins to compliment them on how good they look with each other, all the while saying it in a Chinese/Vietnamese accent and trying to impersonate how a stereotypical Chinese woman walks. However, the African-American female comedian fails to pull it off because of her borderline obese lower-half. . Another female African-American employee shows up, also dressed in a Chinese outfit, speaking in a heavy Chinese/Vietnamese accent, and takes the couples’ order. One of them orders eggrolls. . The first employee then shows up to the table and begins to roll two unbroken eggs over an empty plate, saying “this is how we make eggrolls in our country.” . The couple demands the employees take back their “eggrolls,” to which the employee agrees, but then says “Okay honey, we still charge you, you already make for you.” . As the skit progresses, it shows the employees bringing out food that is absolutely nothing like what the couple ordered at the beginning. On 10/9/2020 #SCOTUS will #Conference and decide if our case has value and grant our petition cert. We need to make some noise before then and help Alexis, our other plaintiffs, and all those affected by the unconstitutional criminalization of cannabis. In one fell swoop, #SCOTUS can repair racial inequities, protect #Statesrights, redress #constitutional injuries, and grant #access to #lifesaving #medicine. As the media focuses on how Justice Ginsburg’s passing may affect SCOTUS’s jurisprudence on abortion rights and the Affordable Care Act, no one is focusing on marijuana legalization. Legalization legislation died in the House this past week, and, even if it were to pass the House, it has no prospects in the Senate. Seven members of Congress filed an amicus brief with SCOTUS – one of nine briefs filed in support of our appeal – explaining that legalization legislation in Congress will never pass. The only path forward is in the courts. SCOTUS is the last hope for Alexis and other medical marijuana patients around the country.
