Occasionally it would go to a show, or a track event, usually driven there in the care of long time team member Bob Russo. I always assumed we would perpetually hang on to this one, and for two decades it lived prominently in Warrington. I was a bit headspun in 2008, when told Dads trademark ride was sold. In the whole time Matt Drendel owned it, only 1 hour away from my new NC home, I couldnt bring myself to make contact and take the trip to Hickory. Finish of the European Solar Challenge 🏁 For 24h, we raced on the Circuit Zolder, drove more than 1.000km with both Sonnenwagen, and learned a lot as a team. Overall, we achieved the 5th place with the Covestro Sonnenwagen and the 8th place with the Sonnenwagen 1. Last track day of the season! DA was terrible as usual, at 8,000+. The rs3 continued to perform so well at this altitude with crappy air and I continue to be impressed with it. After dropping tire pressures to 14psi front/rear, my wife @sugarandsyrah went toe-to-toe with my dream car, a 911Turbo S, and finally got her 10 second pass with a 10.966 (hence my f bomb at end /sorry)!! The final race of 2020 Gearup Challenge is setting up to be an incredible event. With an awesome turnout at the recent State Championship race we are set to host a record number of racers attending this last event of the season. A perfect storm of racers, teams and track will set the stage at New Jersey Motorsports Park for this final round of the Gearup Challenge. As we continue to improve the racers experience at our events the team at NJMP and the F-Series have added an additional day of track testing on Thursday, to make it extra exciting it will be on the Tempest!! With a ton of interest in the Briggs program we have decided to run both the 100cc and the Briggs for both days of this event. Additionally with such a short season in the 100cc category, Sundays results will count towards the final standings in the State Championship Series.
