PHASES OF POWER RESTORATION: Phase 1: Assess and Protect We send highly trained workers into the field to locate and monitor safety hazards. These hazards can include downed wires and poles. Our crews then make sure electricity is off for your safety. They also ensure that power is flowing to critical facilities like hospitals, care facilities, police/fire stations and other essential services. Phase 2: Repair Damage Once damage has been assessed and safety measures enacted, we dispatch crews to make repairs. Substations and main electric lines and wires must be repaired to restore power to you. Even if you do not see our field crew teams, rest assured we are working nearby to get your power restored. Phase 3: Restore Power Once damage is repaired, we begin restoring power to homes and buildings. If you notice that a neighbor’s power is back before yours, don’t worry. 5th place in bouldering at the Austrian Championships 💥 Had a blast climbing in my first bouldering finals last night and gave everything I had (see 2nd video 😅🙈) This has been a huge milestone for me, even if its just a national competition. I dont even know how many people told me: Just stick to lead climbing, youre not tall and powerful enough for a boulderer. How do you know what to do? I dont. I told someone yesterday, im nervous everytime I work; whether its on my laptop or on the trails. The excitement and anxiety is not in the #climbing for me most days, but the work it takes to get us all there. Theres alot of pressure being a leader in a niche community, pushing boundaries, putting the people experience first, opposing yours or other fears. Speaking your full mind, waiting for the wheel to come around and see what the feedback is. All while trying to keep the psyche high.. Happy to report , despite my usual random bursts of crazy when everything does not go according to MY overly ambitious plans, it was amazing. Zillertal Day 7 “Incubator” - historical Zillertal hard classic. It was also known as Jerry’s projekt. Jerry Moffat tried it back in 1998, but it was only in 2003 that Incubator saw its first ascent by Markus Schwaiger. I found an old news on @planetmountain about this incredible realization (link in Bio). In September 2003 I was bouldering since just 6 months (only indoor). It was a deep experience to be under this problem perceiving the history of the area and to realize how many strong climbers have passed through this piece of rock. This was the last climbing day in Zillertal for me. With the climbing season in Squamish almost at an end, @cruxdocumentary is nearing the end of production as well. It’s been an opportunity of a lifetime to film @harveyharvey as he’s told his life story and how his discovery of rock climbing became an outlet to finding mental health. We’ve visited many spectacular spots around B.C., but most importantly we got to explore the area that gave him the desire to pursue this passion in the first place, Squamish. @kylesmithfoto let Harvey climb a couple of his new routes he developed in the North North Gully, including this incredible pitch called Arcturus — named after one of the brightest stars that can be seen from earth. Even the name of this route could be a metaphor for what this documentary has provided for me, Harv, and @zachoffman. First time in Zillertal! We spent seven lovely climbing days here in Austria! I’ll share some of the photos I took in the following week. Day 1 Our first day was mostly about hiking, visiting and exploring. My legs were a bit tired from the long drive of the day before and I had almost no idea about what to expect from this place. Sometimes having no-expectations before a trip is a fascinating way to enjoy the boulders and the area deeper. I remembered some old clips about the historical “Incubator” and the only other images I had in mind were faded. Some lines became more familiar while walking and I could recognize them through some pictures which suddenly came up in my mind clearer and sharper. Between our morning and evening walks, we took a break in a little hillside sector to enjoy our first climbs in the area. The surrounding was melancholy as it immediately reminded me of that famous wood which is not magic anymore: just a few little and narrow paths cut the vast expanse of moss and trees. We hear people say ‘oh she was ahead of her time’ quite often, but in the case of Lynn Hill it’s absolutely true. If any climber, male or female, had Lynn’s resumé today they would be pro, but she pushed climbing forward in the 80’s and 90’s and she’s been waiting 30 years for us all to catch up. I think that’s it for me this season in Yosemite. It was kind of an uneventful Fall as far as climbing goes. Last spring was very successful for me on El Cap and I ended up ticking off all my 2019 goals. Then for some reason I kinda had a lazy summer with training and spent most of August doing easy solos in the High Sierra. That was great but I came to the Valley in mid September not fully prepared. I put a bit of work into trying to free The Nose in a push but after my first attempt it became clear that I just wasn’t in right shape for it. I actually had plans a couple days ago to make a speed run up The Shield with Jim Reynolds but bailed because I tore half my toe nail off the night before while walking barefoot into the woods to take a piss 😭. It’s always a shame to leave the Valley and especially now after my no send season. However it’s made easier because I’m headed off on a rad desert road trip with some good friends! In the midst of planning my next trip, has me thinking about some old ones. . This was taken on my one and only trip to Yosemite National Park. We got up early to try and catch the sunrise over the valley. We made it to the viewpoint just in time as the sun peaked over the ridge. The sunrise was incredible but it’s the slackliners that stole my attention as they slowly made their way from edge to edge. Our feet have over 200,000 nerve endings actively responding to contact. Playing barefoot is living reflexology. Walking a Slackline is more than just exercise; it can become a form of healing, removing our stress and replacing it with well-being on a physical and mental level. This line was special for me. “We now take photos to show people what we did, but we used to take photos to remember what happened” . I watched @itsellis Fire this rig with the quickness and knew I wanted to photograph it, luckily @ellen_leath_photographs was projecting this thing and let me come out to shoot her on it. Then she sent it a couple days later (congrats), and before our planned sesh. BUT her friend Travis was going for the team send so we all got out together. In order to hang the line I shot from, I had to climb the damn thing (12d with a tagged fixed line, ascender, Gris Gris and draws is...well hard - luckily I kept finding all the nylon jugs). These shots came out better than I imagined, but what’s a good photo without context? The road below is the old Ten Sleep Highway, nestled in the canyon. Running along side it is the Ten Sleep Creek. Travis is so tall I almost couldn’t fit him in frame at my widest angle. @ellen_leath_photographs is ripped. I also got to try the thing a couple times and @ellen_leath_photographs offered to jug 100’ feet of all air to turn the camera on me. This was a great sesh and I hope I get a lot more like it. . For the last 4 years in a row, I spent that time a year in Yosemite. I have to admit that this year I’m very happy to be here in Europe. História do “Esqueleto” do Gávea Tourist Hotel Em 1953, iniciou-se a construção doGávea Tourist Hotel. A ideia, projetada pelo arquiteto Décio da Silva Pacheco, era fazer um estabelecimento de luxo que teria como público alvo pessoas com um bom poder aquisitivo. . São cerca de 30 mil metros quadrados de área, que contariam com um restaurante, um bosque e até teleférico. Mesmo inacabado, o espaço chegou a funcionar para algumas coisas: em 1965 foi realizada uma grande festa de réveillon e uma boate, chamada Sky Terrace, funcionou por um tempo no térreo do imóvel. Entretanto, em março de 1972, as obras do Hotel foram interrompidas pela incorporadora Califórnia Investimentos, que assumiria a construção. Cinco anos depois, essa empresa decretou falência e os trabalhos pararam de vez. . Sem recursos para vigiar o que restou da obra, os proprietários não tiveram como evitar que os materiais de construção e os elevadores suíços (que seriam usados no Hotel e já estavam no espaço onde a obra era realizada) fossem furtados. A partir do início dos anos 1980, a construção do Gávea Tourist Hotel passou a servir de abrigo de moradores de rua e esconderijos de criminosos. Contudo, recentemente, o “Esqueleto”, como a construção passou a ser conhecida, começou a ser visitado por pessoas com outras intenções. Muita gente tem subido os 272 degraus e 16 andares do prédio para apreciar o que se pode ver lá do topo. Today the AQI was low, so the stoke was high! Climbing with @allisonelizabethtimms is always a good time, but today we were both especially grateful for the strong wind and rain that helped clear the air out, allowing us to see blue sky for the first time in weeks. I’m not much of a boulderer, but I’ll never say no to an opportunity to yeet myself around small rocks, especially when it’s with a dope friend and the weather is delightful. I’m intrigued by what we climbed today and I can’t wait for the chance to try again. (Also I am finally breaking in the agro, too-tight shoes I bought in April and I feel like I heel hooked my brains out for the first time this year. Dreams are a tough thing somethings... the idea easily leads to great expectations and can distort your perspective of what you can actually accomplish! I usually perform very well in high stakes environments and deal well with knowing you only got a few minutes to achieve your goal. But with handstands it’s a different thing... I feel like I crumble under the self pressure I create, by demanding myself to perform! The amount of training I have put into this „single skill“ is beyond anything I have ever done and it is easy to loose track of your actual level of performance and get lost in your expectations. What you can do with ideal settings and what you can do 1000m above the ground are two different things! I kind of expect myself to not care about height anymore, but the Highline at the Eiger Pilz showed me again what fear is. It I a physical reaction, something beyond mind control. Even thought I really wanted to handstand my arms kept on giving in. My body being afraid of the position looking straight down the north wall ... I felt like a total beginner trying to stand up for the first time, with your body betraying your mind by just not following your orders and trying to avoid exposure by all means! It’s frustrating, but it’s ultimately what Highlining is about! Even though my expectations got crushed I am actually happy I felt REAL FEAR again! Can’t wait to walk in the clouds again with nothing but 1 inch of webbing between myself and the sky. It feels like I haven’t been slacklining much lately which makes me even more grateful that I had the opportunity to travel for 2 months in South America recently doing what I love. Foggy sessions are always some of the most memorable. Aesthetics change drastically and the depth perception can be challenging. The feeling of walking in fog is a mix between walking a waterline (water moving beneath you), being blindfolded, and experiencing flat light on the mountain. I had to really dig deep on this line because there were heavy showers mixed in with the fog, making the line extremely heavy and difficult to walk. I am not exactly sure what it is about a good old sufferfest that makes me wanting to come back for more and do it all over again. There Is something to be said about trusting ourselves to endure challenging circumstances and having a timeless impact on our lives. - @arobslacks on Instagram

Exactly 2 years ago I went to the Arctic Circle for my first time. It was also the first time I sent a 1k+ line and the first time I had to deal with EXTREMELY high winds on very long highlines. Its crazy. It really shows you how powerless we sometimes still are when mother nature takes over control. (This is footage by @smileyvideography from 2 years ago in Senja) Last week we went back North, this time to Sweden rather than Norway and we rigged a 1.9k line, mostly to test this terrain for an even bigger project in the future. Unfortunately the wind shut us down again, less than 24h after the line was up. We still have lots to learn... Im sad that I couldnt get on this line, with my run being scheduled for the 2nd day, just before the winds kicked in, but Im glad we rigged it and Im extremely proud of and happy for @quirinherterich for sending the line on his first attempt right after rigging. You earned it, man! And Im even more proud of the whole team who came together in this beautiful but rough and rather highline-unfriendly terrain to work together on something big. Chapeau my guys! CW: injury 🤕 • • • • hm. so. I guess Im gonna talk about this now... about 2 and a half weeks ago I broke my left ankle. 🥴🥴🥴 . FIRST OFF. Im okay! Im super thankful from the bottom of my heart to those who have been helping me since the injury, keeping me company while Im on medical leave from work, and checking in on me. 🥰 • • • • As for how this happened... I almost onsighted Godfather V4, which has a notoriously sketchy top out. I was pretty chill at the top, resting and trying to figure out how I would top out, but my left leg started shaking and I knew I had to make some moves. I got desperate slapping around, got pumped, and decided to drop down. . Although you cant see, I landed evenly and clean. BUT there was a tree root underneath the yellow crashpad where my left foot landed... making the impact really hard and leaving me with a broken ankle. I knew immediately something was wrong because this hurt so much more than any other ankle injury (sprains) that Ive sustained. . Of course my first broken bone would happen this year. 🙄 I think Im ready for 2021... • • • • My x-rays are from 8/24, 8/26, and today. The official diagnosis was a non displaced medial malleolus fracture. My doctor opted for no surgical intervention since after 2 days of being in a soft uniboot it already looked better. . She also gave me good news today that my talus bone doesnt look to have been affected from the injury. Were looking at 2 more weeks in a cast, then moving to a cam boot and PT to re mobilize my ankle before I go back to work! 🥳 . New personal record 🤘🏽💃 290 meters without falling 😉 Did it first on Moonwalk webbing, then rigged it on a continuous piece of Marathon and sent it a couple of times including a send under the bright moon 🌖 fastest send was 12-13 min and longest walk was 1.7 kilometers in under an hour an a half 🥵 Even though its one person on the line at a time, the real achievement is all the work and great times behind it. October 2019. It’s hard to say whether block break 2 happened in Purgatory or Paradise. I took a couple of friends on an expedition in search highlines and paracord nets. These of course were found in abundance, but less expectedly we also encountered bursts of snow, a bonfire-side couch and carpet, and a highline rigged to a 600 lb concrete deadman anchor. I full-man onsighted this 130 meter line in a Tigger onesie and appropriately named it “The Wonderful Thing about a 600 Pound Deadman”. Made some awesome new friends just off the beaten trail of Purgatory Ski Resort at the Paradise Highline Gathering. A huge thanks to @mellomarrr for organizing and establishing these lines.
