Moreover, it has many laurels attached to it like the only Ganesha temple tucked in the caves; the abode of the Pandavas and the spot where goddess Parvati prayed for 12 years for a child. •बल्लाळेश्वर (पाली)• Ballaleshwar temple is one of the eight temples of Lord Ganesha. Among Ganesha temples, Ballaleshwar is the only incarnation of Ganesha that is known by his devotees name. It is located in the village of Pali which is at a distance of 28 km from Roha in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is situated between fort Sarasgad and the river Amba. And this is due to our unsteady condition in the material platform. But when we decide to act according to the supreme consciousness, at that stage, there is no such duality that Let me do it or Let me not do it. No. There is only one thing, Let me do it. Let me do it, because it is sanctioned by the superior consciousness. The whole Bhagavad-gītā is based on this principle of life. Now, the beginning... in the beginning of the Bhagavad-gītā, Arjuna, in the battlefield, he was perplexed whether to fight or not to fight. That was his problem. First of all he thought that, My cousin-brothers, they have given me so much trouble. They have usurped my kingdom. So I must fight with them and retake my lost kingdom. That is determination. Again, when actually in the battlefield he saw his brothers and his friends... because it was a family quarrel, so in both the sides all the friends and relatives they joined, either to this party or that party. But the beauty is that Arjuna became compassionate, that Why should I fight simply for the kingdom? How long I shall remain in the kingdom? Let me not to . . . not fight. Let me not to fight. Ill not . . . I shall not fight. That was his decision. Because he was a devotee of the Lord, this good compassion came into his mind. The other party, they did not consider it. The other party was determined to fight. Now, Arjuna was hesitating, and therefore the Bhagavad-gītā was explained. The Lord first of all tried to engage him in the battle in the ordinary way, and when he... when it was not possible and there was some arguments between Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa in favor and in, against the fighting... but at last Arjuna decided that Let me appoint Kṛṣṇa, the best amongst us, to advise me what to do and what not to do. Then the Bhagavad-gītā was begun. Long ago there was a wicked demon King- Mahishasura. He wanted to be powerful and rule the three worlds. Therefore, he performed severe penance to please Lord Brahma. When Lord Brahma was pleased and appeared before him, Mahishasura asked a boon- to be immortal- that is to never die. But Lord Brahma said “Mahisha- all that is born must die. That is the universal law. You cannot escape that”. Mahishasura thought for a while and said “if I must die, my Lord, it should be in the hands of a woman”. Lord Brahma agreed and granted him the boon and returned to his abode. Mahishasura thought- How can a woman kill a man? That is Impossible. I am now the most powerful person in the whole universe. Mahishaura immediately ordered his army to attack the humans on the earth and the Gods/ Devas in the Devaloka. Mahishasuar and his men became a menace- they started bullying and destroying the Devaloka and no one could touch him. The King of Devas- Indra went to the Trimurtis- Brahma, Vishnu and Siva and explained the situation to them. The three Gods created a powerful woman with several hands. Lord Shiva offered his trisoola to Her. Maha Vishnu his Sudarsana chakra Lord Indra his Vajrayudha- or thunderbolt. They named her Durga. Durga- now, a powerful Goddess armed with inner strength, courage and wisdom with arms gifted by the powerful Devas set out on a lion to destroy Mahishasura. Mahishasura’s heart skipped a beat when her heard the thunder of Goddess Durga’s arrival. Still, he asked “A mere female trying to attack me?” Durga responded “I not an ordinary female, Mahisha. I am here to fulfil your desire to be killed by a woman” He immediately realised it was a danger sign for him and changed himself into a buffalo and charged the Goddess with all his might. Durga with her inborn power and acquired weapons killed Mahishasura after a long battle. The day Goddess Durga killed the wicked demon Mahishasura is celebrated as Vijayadasami . RELIANCE INDUSTRIES CAME FORWARD TO BEAR THE PROJECT COST OF Rs.25cr DyCM TAKES PART IN BHOOMI PUJA The Bhoomi Puja for the rejuvenation works of the Alipiri footpath route from Alipiri to GNC was performed at Alipiri on Monday by TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri Y V Subba Reddy along with Deputy CM Sri Narayanaswamy and TUDA Chairman and TTD Ex-officio member Dr C Bhaskar Reddy. Speaking on this occasion, the Chairman said, the footpath route which was constructed over two and a half decades ago was in a bad shape. So TTD has decided to rejuvenate the shelter all along the 7.6km trek route from Alipiri to the GNC toll gate at Tirumala for the benefit of the safety and security of devotees. Usually, during normal days around 20,000 devotees walk to Tirumala via this footpath while during summer vacation and auspicious days the number shoots up to over 40,000. The TTD engineering officials have made an estimation of ₹25 crore for a complete overhaul of the footpaths with – roof slab, drinking water pipelines, toilets, health centers, security outposts, electricity and broadcasting (Public Address System) cables. Reliance Industries Limited has come forward to take up the works on a donation basis for TTD. Adding further he said, there has been a delay in the commencement of the footpath rejuvenation works due to the Covid pandemic. However, he said, the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy has instructed to complete the work as soon as possible in view of the benefit of the pilgrims”, he maintained. It was Vishwakarma Jayanti on Sep 16th. A revered figure in our scriptures, Vishwakarma is often referred to as Deva Shilpi or the divine architect. He is mentioned at multiple places in Vedas where he is many times equated with supreme Brahma or Brahma himself. It sorta make sense as well, as Brahma is the one who creates, who builds. However, multiple stories from puranas and epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. The golden Lanka was designed and architected by him and so was Pandavas Indraprastha and Krishnas Dwarka. The famous weapons, Vajra of Indra, Trident of Shiva, Sudarshan Chakra are also attributed to him. Bowing and praying to the god of design and architecture is just one example of beauty of our traditions where we dont miss to acknowledge everything that man can do, we give Godly status to all types of karma. It was Kanada who first realized the idea that “anu” (atom) was an indestructible particle of mater. This theory occurred to him while he was walking with food in his hand. As he nibbled at the food in his hand, throwing away the small particles one by one until he was unable to break it down anymore and it left a smell on his hands. He realized that he could not divide the food into further parts and the realization of a matter which cannot be divided further came into existence. He called this indivisible matter, “anu” which literally means atom. He founded the Vaisheshika School of philosophy where he taught his ideas and the nature of the universe. He authored the text “Vaisesika Sutras” or Aphorisms, pioneering the atomic theory, describing dimension, motion and chemical reactions of atoms. Acharya Kanada considered the atom minute objects invisible to the naked eye which come into being and vanished in an instant; they were indestructible and hence eternal. Adherents of this philosophy further held that atoms of same substance combined with each other to produce dvyanuka (bi-atomic molecules) and tryanuka (tri-atomic molecules). This devinuka has the properties similar to those of the two original paramanu. Kanada also put forward the idea that atoms could be combined in various ways to produce chemical changes in presence of other factors such as heat. He gave blackening of earthen pot and ripening of fruit as examples of this phenomenon. His primary area of study was Rasavadam, considered to be a type of alchemy. He is said to have believed that all living beings are composed of five elements: water, fire, earth, air, ether. Vegetables have only water, insects have water and fire, birds have water, fire, earth and air, and Humans, the top of the creation, have ether-the sense of discrimination (time, space, mind) are one. He theorized that Gurutva (Hindi/Sanskrit for Gravity) was responsible for the falling of objects on the Earth.
