Amazing to be back in the Pilanesberg after spending a year in the Okavango, seeing old faces again was nostalgic for me, spent some time with Rain and her cubs on a rainy afternoon while they searched for prey and quenched their thirst from pools of rain water in the road. What was really special about this sighting for me was that I had her and the previous set of cubs (around the same age) on the same road and the exact same spot! 𝐓𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞! 🐘💉 Earlier this week, our team in Zinave National Park noticed an #elephant that was limping badly and dragging its back foot. The veterinary team from @savingthesurvivors were called in to assist. After sedating the elephant the painful wound was cleaned and treated. We were also very relieved to see that the injury was not as a result of a snare, as was first thought. The ranger teams from Peace Parks and the National Administration for Conservation Areas have been working around the clock, removing more than 4 000 snares from the park over the past 18 months. The elephant was soon on his feet again and off to find the rest of the herd - hopefully feeling much better than before! 💖 Through partnerships with organisations like @debeersgroup and @ezemvelokznwildlife, 169 elephants have been rewilded to Zinave over the past 5 years. - @peaceparks on Instagram

Im so very proud to get to announce were finally part of the Fujifilm family! Today @fujifilmx_us announced their new Creators program, which has such an amazing and diverse group of photographers. You can see us all in the link in my bio, and here: https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/home-creators/ If Ive gotten to hang out with you in the last nine years or so, you probably saw me with one Fujifilm camera or another. It started with the x100, and moved to the Xpro1, and from there Ive had so many different Fujifilm cameras I cant remember them all. But they were never our main cameras for weddings. We had Canon for 10 years, and then Nikon for another several years. We just didnt feel like any mirrorless camera could do what we needed them to do with how hard and how fast we shoot at a wedding. But when the Xpro3 came out last year, I finally was able to say goodbye to dSLRS for good. But @erinchrisman wasnt there yet, so we kept our Nikons. But with the new XT4, @erinchrisman found a camera that she loves. Ive never seen her take so many photos...at weddings, and just around the house of Roxy. That makes me so happy to see. If anyone has questions about Fujifilm cameras, or just cameras in general, please let me know in the comments below. 2020, no matter how weird or devastating it has been for all of us photographers, at least has given us a chance to rethink what really matters in our work and what we want to spend the rest of our lives photographing. Its going to get better, and were going to have a renewed enthusiasm to show what we care about with our photos.
