Fly tippers who dumped household waste between Leamington and Southam were traced after an investigation and have donated £1,000 to us, instead of going to court. The police asked the public to recommend a wildlife charity and we were nominated. Were going to use the donation to clear up the litter left at our Bishops Hill nature reserve over the summer. Well, I missed my stop on a ferry. Never done that before. Not quite the same as missing a stop on the train or bus. I meant to go to Galiano and now I’m on Mayne Island. After melting my face off with panic, I found some help. With the help of some of the locals specifically Tara and Teresa (they called all their friends with boats) and found me a ride across to Galiano. Right when it seemed hopeless and I’d have to wait here until 5:30 pm, they called this man named John who offered to take me across at 1:15. Were writing today to share a project weve been working on throughout these quarantine times—were releasing a video for the song Endless, directed by @brianpaccione . The video is an exploration of tenacity & endurance of spirit. In this turbulent moment, as many of us are banding together to fight racism, to stay healthy in a pandemic, & to live with dignity through economic oppression, we believe in the power of resilience & perseverance. The processes of patience, growth, & renewal are happening around us constantly in nature. & as circumstances insisted we stay in isolation, animals ventured further out of their lairs & nests. Spring began to open up after another endless winter in Upstate, NY. The video contains footage from the past 4 months or so, just on the cusp of natures remembered ritual folding over into a new season. We are all part of that process. May these cycles inspire & affirm our efforts to fight for a world that is kind to our planet & honors the people on it. .
