Theodore Michael Andrzejewski (“Theo”) arrived on February 7th at 12:12PM at a whopping 9lb 14oz (4480g) after 31 hours of active labor. Both mama and son are doing well. We were able to deliver without inductions, leaving Seth in complete awe of the physical feat of childbirth and proud of Alexa’s strength, especially with such a big baby! Theo has been incredibly calm these first 24 hours and sleeping and feeding well. Rohan is in love with his little brother, and the video of their introduction merits a separate post. Theodore means “God Gives”—a reminder that God’s ongoing acts of creating and cultivating underwrite an abundance mindset. This enables us to be generous and to overcome the “spirit of scarcity” we both struggle with. Theo is also a subtle nod to some great stories we love—from Théoden to Theon to Theodosia—stories of restoration, redemption and reconciliation. Michael (Who is like God?) is Seth’s and Seth’s father’s middle name. In the same way that Rohan’s middle name honors Alexa’s family and brother Zachary, we are grateful for the seed of faith passed down in Seth’s family line and hope it continues on with the next generation. - @sethland on Instagram

Fun story — we were working out of @bryanadams’ studio building in Vancouver with the cast of @julieandthephantoms. He popped down to say hi and told us that when we were done working to give him a shout so he could come check out what we were working on. We thought he was just being polite. When our recording session was over, we didn’t really want to bother him because he’s kind of a legend, and contemplated if we should run upstairs to his studio and get him. Finally we decided to do it. We run upstairs to find him finishing his dinner in the kitchen area with his family and we immediately felt horrible for interrupting him, but what did he do? He got up and said “hey guys! I’ll be right down! Can’t wait to hear!” 2 minutes later he’s hanging out with us, jamming out to our songs, and then he’s showing us new tunes he’s working on. We then spoke music and life and meaning with him for about a half hour. Point being, it’s one of the biggest joys when you meet people who have made huge careers for themselves, and they’re still so humble, down to earth, and genuinely good people. Here at St Vs, our team of midwives and obstetricians work closely with our families to help reduce some of the overwhelm and concerns that they may be feeling before coming in to deliver. We were thrilled when one of our special SVPB families shared their recent experience with us. No doubt this will provide a lot of comfort to our expecting families. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing this with us, and we hope you are enjoying those precious newborn cuddles with gorgeous baby Xavier. We checked out of the hospital on Monday, and I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all the staff who made it a wonderful experience. I was so worried before the birth about how it would feel with all the covid restrictions and not having family visit, but in the end, it really didnt matter that much - our birth and stay was just as special. If anything, we loved our little hospital room bubble for those few days with plenty of time to rest and lots of attention from the midwives. Sophie was our midwife during the birth, and she was just amazing, showing nothing but kindness and patience and having a laugh at whatever it was I was saying while on the gas😂. All of the midwives taking care of us after were just wonderful - always understanding and helpful. And a big thank you to the overnight midwives. They came whenever we called and offered so much support rocking, burping, and cuddling baby Xavier throughout the night while providing us with so much advice and reassurance. It made it all so easy for us, and now we are home, there are moments I miss our little bubble and want to come back and see all the kind faces again. On Friday we lost an amazing man. My grandad sadly passed away at 95 years old. I’m struggling to find the words to describe how amazing he was, but all I know is if I can inherit just 1% of his resilience, I’ll be a happy man. He fought in war, he dealt with the loss of his only child (my dad ) to suicide, he lost his wife of over 50 years a month later and even as his health deteriorated he NEVER gave up. It’s been a tough few days, I’ve certainly had emotions around my dad resurface too - grief is never easy! Luckily, I’ve got the most amazing family and this has been another reminder of that. The past couple of weeks have really been something else. It was a 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 visit to @fanexpovancouver with kiddo in tow this year. Shes a budding artist, lover of anime, comics, cute things and the look on her face when she got to sneak in with the VIP crowd was nothing short of elated. Weve been working hard with her and her anxiety. She often compares her art to those around her so the value of Artist Row at Fan Expo Vancouver wasnt lost on us. She was able to wander up and down the aisles, watching each artist draw in their element and take in how different their skills all were, but also how many people enjoyed their work. She got to meet one of my favourites @camilladerrico, whos won me over with her Hero & Villain bee series and A also ended up picking her own up and the Beehive book! Combine this with an epic family zone, endless shopping, panels and more, we spent an entire day soaking it all in! We ended our super full day with an @epicphotoops meet & greet with a few of the actors from Battlestar Galactica, not going to lie I was half tempted to Cricut myself a few cylon signs! Naturally, As new friend Sushi that she picked up at one of the makers also made an appearance in our photo. Were already counting down to next year and you can to! This is from DAY 2 of shooting “The Opening Act”. The scene takes place as @moffatpics and @funnyasiandude are asked to do morning radio. Jimmy has never done radio before and what could go wrong? This is the only scene that from first draft to day of shooting, didn’t change. What happened in the scene actually happened to me and is a combo of 2 experiences I had on the road early on. In short, yikes. This was such a fun day. All the comics on set and they all knew this scene because we all had this happen to us in one way or another. I didn’t have to direct too much. My only hiccup was getting @russellpeters to say YINZ. I’m from PGH and it’s slang and he just couldn’t do it which made me laugh. He kept saying “y’all’s guys”. Wed like to take a moment as a group to call attention to a particular influential individual. Several years ago, Michael Hawley discovered Danny Fongs YouTube channel via a friend of his because Mike is a HUGE Gene Puerling fan and Danny had created many Puerling tribute/transcription projects. Mike reached out to Danny to invite him to an annual conference as a presenter. Knowing nothing about Mike or the conference, Danny said something to the effect of, Great, but maybe you should think about my group Accent instead of just me! Fast forward a few months and the 6 of us were on our way to Monterey, California for the EG Conference. We didnt really know what to expect, but had some idea that there would be a lot of creative and brilliant people there (since we could browse past presentations on the conference website). At this stage, we had only ever met in person and performed twice before, so we were very much figuring ourselves out—well, we still are—and sort of had a touch of impostor syndrome. Did we really belong here? We were schmoozing with some of our favorite celebrities and learning about up-and-comers who are and will continue to be changing the world in one way or another. Mike had really undersold the fact that our lives would be changed by this conference. But thats Mike—creative and brilliant himself, but also a humble people-mover. But what we really aim to do with this post is to thank Mike for an incredible opportunity that enabled lasting connections for us. Coop Sportive Sante-Power Gym is a local fitness center that offers fitness classes, workout space and can host events, it is located at the busy intersection of Westminster and Cote Saint-Luc road in the City of Côte Saint-Luc in the Mount Royal riding. It was great to visit yesterday & meet part of the Co-ops owners Anna, Haley and Nandini and discover their facilities. They are an impressive group of entrepreneurs making it work locally with an innovative business structure, keep up the great work! RIP Grandma Martha. A truly powerful person. Wise and funny. She had a joke or a sang for most situations. She ran a farm and raised 7 kids during a time when you had to share a phone line with your neighbors. She was the matriarch of our family for the last decade. She even introduced herself backstage at shows as “the boss”. Due to the current situation many of us in this large family could not be there. But we were blessed to have a big family Zoom call going the whole night where we got to spend many of her last hours together.
