When the 1956 Constitution declared Pakistan an ‘Islamic Republic’, many newspapers reported that the wives of most parliamentarians accused their husbands of hypocrisy. Cartoons began to appear in the papers satirising the situation. In 1958, when military chief Ayub Khan and President Iskandar Mirza imposed the country’s first Martial Law, they suspended the Constitution, claiming that it had been used by cynical politicians ‘to peddle Islam for political gains. The country’s name was changed to Republic of Pakistan. The name was eventually changed back to Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the 1973 Constitution. Carolina Herrera dress shot at 6:20 AM...Day one....I didnt know what to expect. Usually we storyboard our shoots quite intensely but how do you storyboard a shoot with mannequins? A few days before our shoot we drove around to identify locations we liked but that was about it. The day before the first day @jamesastyle called again. I found silver balls. Ill bring them Sure! Because why not???!!! Otvaranje izložbe “COVID-19 i kuga: sadašnjost u prošlosti“ u četvrtak, 10. rujna 2020. godine u 20 sati u Lazaretima, dubrovačkoj utvrdi zdravlja. Izložba pruža uvid u povijest iznimno uspješnog protuepidemijskog sustava Dubrovačke Republike i samih Lazareta. Pored toga, uspoređuje konkretne epidemiološke, gospodarske i socijalne mjere koje je provodila Dubrovačka Republika sa onima koje se provode danas u borbi s COVID-19 pandemijom. One su zapanjujuće slične ili identične. Izložba je nastala u suradnji Grada Dubrovnika, Dubrovačke baštine i Zavoda za povijesne znanosti HAZU u Dubrovniku.
