Dihadapan ratusan anggota, Kepala Keselamatan Terbang dan Kerja (Kalambangja) AAU Letkol Tek Subagyo, S.T., M.T., menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi tersebut sengaja dilakukan menindaklanjuti instruksi Gubernur AAU Marsda TNI Nanang Santoso sebagai langkah pencegahan sekaligus penyegaran bagi seluruh personil AAU terhadap kemungkinan terjadinya bahaya kebakaran. Dikatakan, bahaya kebakaran kapanpun dan dimanapun bisa terjadi, tak terkecuali di lingkungan AAU. Untuk itu, Kalambangja menghimbau kepada seluruh personel untuk melaksanakan beberapa hal diantaranya secara berkala memeriksa kelayakan dan fungsi seluruh Alpeka di AAU, melakukan pengecekan dan perbaikan instalasi listrik secara berkala dan pemeliharaan rutin instalasi disetiap bangunan gedung dan rumah dinas dengan melibatkan personel pemeliharaan fasilitas. Melaksanakan pemeriksaan terhadap besar beban yang dipakai disetiap bangunan, melakukan pemotongan ranting pohon yang mengganggu instalasi listrik. Tidak menghubungkan peralatan elektronik dengan jaringan listrik pada saat meninggalkan ruangan, serta terus melaksanakan penertiban dan perbaikan jaringan listrik. i’ve been relatively quiet about everything going on lately, pandemic and all - yesterday i felt the urge to go out and document what was going on for myself. i support nonviolent protesting (and appreciate those that have been practicing that) and i firmly believe that the injustice and systemic racism needs to end. i was raised to love all people. i’m really disappointed in humanity. events taking place that should be bringing us together, reminding us that we are all in this as one, have been doing just the opposite. we are a minuscule group of beings on a microscopic rock floating in an unfathomably vast universe. this needs to end. the world, this country, is going haywire. i’m not exactly sure how to end this, what i do know is that we all need to be better. let’s start with that. - @dd on Instagram

I’ve seen a lot of hate directed towards protestors saying that everyone there is looting and that they are fools for putting themselves at risk of getting injured by the police. Video taken by @sethbeckton (Seth and I were a foot from each other both recording the protests and out of nowhere an undirected rubber bullet came right in between us. Imagine going blind from a rubber bullet for peacefully documenting history?) I can say for myself specifically for Denver, that this is not the case. Although there was some vandalism from select individuals, 99.9 percent of the people there were peacefully protesting. At a place that is meant for protesting (The capital) I witnessed some extreme behavior from the Denver Police Department, who were consistently using excessive force against everyone over the first 6 or so days of the protests. Eventually the curfew was lifted and the police backed off, instantly the energy changed down there and it was 100 percent peaceful, with no police presence. The protests themselves needed to happen but the system didn’t want it to. The people showed up and made their voices heard. D’autres sont mort.e.s encore, victimes de la domination patriarcale misogyne, comme Céleste, 15 ans, violée et tuée il y a quelques jours par un violeur multirécidiviste. Ce sont leurs noms que nous collons ce soir, au coeur d’un mémorial de rue dressé au 44 rue Bouvier, dans le 11ème arrondissement de Paris. Nous invitons toutes et tous à venir vous y recueillir et vous rendre compte ce que représentent autant de mort.e.s. Le 30 août 2019, nous nous retrouvions en petits groupes pour peindre et coller les noms des femmes assassinées par leur (ex) conjoint. Un an après, nous sommes près de 3000 à Paris, plusieurs milliers de militant.e.s dans 200 villes en France, ainsi que dans une dizaine de pays dans le monde. Un an après, des milliers d’heures de travail, autant à arpenter les rues de France, voici le bilan que nous pouvons tirer : La politique de lutte contre les violences faites aux femmes portée par l’ancienne Secrétaire d’Etat à l’Egalité Femmes-Hommes Marlène Schiappa a été un exercice de communication politique de bout en bout. Nous en ressortons avec un budget trafiqué épinglé par le Sénat lui-même, des mesures mettant en danger les femmes victimes de violences (comme la levée du secret médical sur décision du médecin en cas de suspicion de violence) et une absence de planification forte, demandée depuis des années par les structures spécialisées (formation continue des services de police dans la prise en charge des victimes par exemple). Tomorrow night we will once again be monitoring NYC’s Tribute in Light from dusk to dawn to ensure it is safe for night-migrating birds. This years scaled-down team of NYC Audubon volunteers and staff will use extra safety precautions as we conduct a socially distanced monitoring event in partnership with National September 11 Memorial & Museum and Michael Ahern Production Services. The Tribute in Light is a stirring memorial to those lost on September 11, 2001, but it can also be a hazard for hundreds of thousands of night-migrating birds. Birds are attracted to light, and in some years, thousands have become trapped in the Tribute’s powerful beams, circling, calling, and wasting precious body fat needed for their long migratory journeys. Thanks to a long-standing cooperative agreement with the Tributes producers, the lights are turned off for a brief period when NYC Audubon monitors observe large numbers of trapped birds, allowing the birds to disperse. This year were also providing guidance to partner monitoring teams at additional light-based memorials in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon, in Washington, D.C. Andrew Farnsworth, PhD, and his BirdCast team will be conducting research at these sites as well to see how the installations affect nighttime migration. Rest assured, all these installations have been on our radar and we have been hard at work to make sure the birds will be safe at all sites! In our homeland, this issue goes far deep as those of even a tan complexion were considered to be of lower status since the days of Korean dynasties. The pale complexion was always honored as royalty. In the modern world, weve bought further into that lie. Nearly 30 arrests were made against people who were demonstrating—many for simply standing in the street or simply being near the protest, as is the case with one Uber delivery courier. El anuncio de un alza en el precio del metro disparó en Santiago una serie de masivas protestas que impugnan la enorme desigualdad económica y, de paso, el ordenamiento político de un país que hasta ayer se tenía por vitrina paradigmática del neoliberalismo en Latinoamérica. La procesión en Chile iba por dentro, y no parece entonces demasiado extraño que el estallido social emergiera desde los mismos subterráneos del transporte público. 28 de Septiembre de 2020 Día Internacional del Derecho al Aborto ✊🏼💚 Decenas de mujeres nos reunimos en la explanada del Monumento para exigir nuestro derecho al Aborto Seguro, Legal y Gratuito en todo México. 14:34 hrs - 14:48 hrs: Salimos del Monumento para dirigirnos hacia el Zócalo capitalino cuándo cientos de cuerpos policiales Ateneas nos impidieron el pasó, del tal modo que nos encapsularon. Estos hechos se pueden apreciar en la segunda y tercera foto. El bloque negro tuvo que accionar para poder avanzar. Al lograr romper la valla policial, nos encontramos con otro encapsulamiento, ya no solo eran ateneas también había granaderos y quedamos totalmente encerradas. En respuesta, el bloque negro accionó, la policía comenzó a lanzar petardos y gas pimienta directamente. Estos actos dejaron heridas a varias compañeras, muchas de ellas se cubren el rostro porqué se sienten más seguras, no porqué accionen. ¡Si tocan a una, respondemos TODAS! Continuamos encapsuladas. Los ataques por parte de los cuerpos policíacos se hicieron más intensos, lanzaron y detonaron cuetones esquirlas, estos artefactos dejaron un par de mujeres heridas. El bloque negro continuó respondiendo ante la máxima violencia y represión, por lo que la policía disperso gas pimienta. En mi tercer en vivo se aprecia como fue esparcido brutalmente el gas. Marabunta llegó a auxiliar y comenzó a intermediar para llegar a algún trató con las autoridades. Entre todas nos cuidamos, porqué si tocan a una, respondemos todas 🔥✊🏼. As a 2nd generation Laotian American who grew in Richmond I feel the need to stand by black people during this time to dismantle white supremacy and the systems of oppression that has kept them down for generations. I know Laotian folks have been victims of racism, I know weve learned to stay silent because of our history as refugees, I understand the pain and fear many of us face to stand up and take action, but at this very moment I need my folks to heal and unlearn this trauma and support our black brothers and sisters in this movement right now. . .
