HEADS UP: (just in case) 1. Update: Apparently milk is NOT the way to go. Use baking soda + water and then sterile, saline water for chemical contaminants. Dont wear contacts. 2. If you get tear gassed, when you get home, put the contaminated clothes in a plastic bag for later decontamination and shower with cold water to avoid opening your pores. 3. Come with friends and dont get separated. Avoid leaving the crowd and watch out for police snatch squads. 4. Beware undercovers, but beware snitch jacketing and collaborator peace police even more. 5. The far right is very good at combing through pictures and doxxing people. Mask up. Also its covid and with mace and pepper spray bring extra..once its hit with those itll suffocate you and be rendered useless. 6. Write any necessary phone numbers you may need directly on your skin in sharpie. 7. Have an offsite plan for emergencies if you have not been heard from by X time coordinated with someone offsite. 8. Make sure all mobile devices are charged!! 9. If you plan on going to jail, plan it: bail, lawyer, time off from work, witnesses i.e.: a cadre. Dont just go to jail without training. 10. Beware folks inciting violence. Most of them are police feds. Watch out for hook ups for the same reason. Get to know the crowd. They will set you up. When medics offer a snack or water, take it (you need it). If someone goes down sheild them with your body as they are vulnerable to attack/ trampling. After the action check in with medics. Medics are notoriously the worst at self-care during crisis and deal with major trauma. Show them care and emotional support. Stay mobile, avoid being cornered/ kettled/ flanked. Cops will yell loudly/ concussion grenades are fucking loud. Their noise is meant to rattle and disorient you. Tear gas cannisters will burn a naked hand. They should be returned with at least a 100% cotton gloved hand to the cops that shot them/ covered with something like a traffic cone. Never turn your back to an attacker, do not run. I’ve been out documenting the peaceful protests and looting/riots. I want to show the truth and disparity amongst what’s really happening out there for those that are not able to experience it for themselves. This image I captured depicts two young females (almost kids) that have been detained by 5 officers after protesting peacefully. I need not describe what you can clearly see in the picture. My previous post shows hundreds of people looting the @supreme store in the heart of SoHo without a single cop showing up for 20 minutes. Wanted to quickly share my experience with the autonomous zone up on Cap Hill, as Ive been hearing/seeing a craaaaazy amount of misinformation being spread about it. No one was being denied entry into their homes that I saw, nor were there any armed guards keeping track of who came in and out. For lack of a better description, its more like a punk rock farmers market with public speakers. Everyone was super cordial and sweet that I spoke with. There were teams of people cleaning the streets and handing out food and water. Ive read so much insane shit online about people thinking that armed antifa soldiers are keeping that part of the city hostage; even people saying that the authorities need to identify the leaders and assassinate them... Wow. If youre curious, head on over for yourself- youll probably run into a friend or neighbor. Gister avond (5 september) was er weer een editie van B-Style Tuning @ The Harbor te Beverwijk. De opkomst was weer zo als altijd erg goed en was ook zeker gezellig. Maar we vinden het Zeer asociaal hoe een groepje mensen zich gedragen hebben deze avond. Dan gaat het om een groepje mensen die de hele avond herrie hebben lopen maken. Wat gaat er in jullie kop rond? Is je auto een attractie en wil je op de kermis werken? Ben je gekomen om te zorgen dat er weer een locatie naar de klote gaat? Heb je geen aanspraak en denk je zo vrienden te krijgen? Is het ter compensatie van iets anders? Wat is er in godsnaam met jullie aan de hand? Wij van B-Style Tuning zijn niet op alle plekken om mensen te kunnen aanspreken en willen ook eigenlijk geen politie agentje spelen. Maar dit gaat werkelijk nergens over. We kregen zelfs klachten van mensen die naar het ziekenhuis zijn gegaan omdat ze klachten van het gehoor hadden. Ook zijn de mensen die zich op de boten bevinden uitgescholden die vroegen of het niet anders kon. We gaan nu dus ook zeker opletten wie het zijn en zullen de kentekens noteren. Wat we met die kentekens gaan doen zal geen verassing zijn. We vragen ook aan mensen die naar meetings komen om mensen er op aan te spreken dit soort asociaal gedrag niet te vertonen op meetings. Als mensen dit zo blijven doen zijn er straks geen plekken meer waar je bij elkaar kunt komen met je auto, begrijp dat nou eens. Er worden elk weekend meetings verboden omdat mensen zich niet aan de regels houden, herrie maken, troep achterlaten en racen. Laat dit aub de laatste keer zijn dat we dit moeten zeggen: Hou op met herrie maken op meetings. Geen lawaaioverlast, geen pops en bangs en geen gerace tussen publiek door!!! Justicia para Cristhian Hurtado 🏴no mas injusticias para los inocentes. 🥺 Aquel luchador de la vida y gran amigo era ingeniero industrial de la Universidad de Cundinamarca. Salió a comprar víveres cuando fue atacado cuando ni si quiera hacia parte de las manifestaciones del 9 y 10 de septiembre en Ciudad Verde Soacha. Él es una de las tres víctimas fatales que dejaron las manifestaciones y desmanes en Soacha. “La brutalidad policial en Ciudad Verde acabó con la vida de Cristhian Hurtado Menecé, de 27 años. Era un joven luchador social de Soacha. Lo recordamos de la época de la Red Juvenil y su formación como sujeto crítico”, dice Heiner Gaitán Parra, concejal de Soacha, quien conoció a Cristhian en 2012 durante varios procesos juveniles que se dieron en el sector. Hurtado es una de las tres víctimas fatales que dejaron las manifestaciones y desmanes en Soacha por la muerte de Javier Ordóñez, tras un caso de abuso policial, en el occidente de Bogotá. Cristhian, era ingeniero industrial de la Universidad de Cundinamarca y estaba trabajando como electricista en el Relleno Sanitario Doña Juana, además de ser reconocido por sus labores sociales, era reconocido por su humildad y amor a su familia. 28 de Septiembre de 2020 Día Internacional del Derecho al Aborto ✊🏼💚 Decenas de mujeres nos reunimos en la explanada del Monumento para exigir nuestro derecho al Aborto Seguro, Legal y Gratuito en todo México. 14:34 hrs - 14:48 hrs: Salimos del Monumento para dirigirnos hacia el Zócalo capitalino cuándo cientos de cuerpos policiales Ateneas nos impidieron el pasó, del tal modo que nos encapsularon. Estos hechos se pueden apreciar en la segunda y tercera foto. El bloque negro tuvo que accionar para poder avanzar. Al lograr romper la valla policial, nos encontramos con otro encapsulamiento, ya no solo eran ateneas también había granaderos y quedamos totalmente encerradas. En respuesta, el bloque negro accionó, la policía comenzó a lanzar petardos y gas pimienta directamente. Estos actos dejaron heridas a varias compañeras, muchas de ellas se cubren el rostro porqué se sienten más seguras, no porqué accionen. El bloque negro enfrentó estos actos de violencia y represión, exigiendo la liberación de todAs. Con pintas, baile, consignas y la canción sin miedo amenizamos por un momento el encapsulamiento. No crean en los medios grandes y amarillistas, quienes distorsionan la realidad a su conveniencia, somos muchos los medios independientes que vivimos para comunicarlo.
