When I first laid eyes on this shell 🐚 chandelier inside @workshop_vintage I knew it would look amazing here. 😍 I bought a single bulb 💡drop light and wove twine down the cord rather than your typical vintage chain. It took 2 hours to wrap 😅. The pictures are clipped from 2 flip books I thrifted for under a buck. And thank goodness for @tranced_eats , he custom made this hand rail to fit over the previous mess. . It’s nice to no longer use my phone flashlight when getting a midnight snack. But also in less central locations like Hinterbärenbadstraße in the last photo, the concept was introduced which led to some controversy among citizens. Empecé el año grabando las voces de Aleix de @calavento para Balanceo y las de Pau de @trinitat_nova_grup para Accident en mi bunker de Lluerna. A esto que publicamos el disco de debut con @mad_squad_bcn via @hangthedjrecs , con quienes estaremos presentando el disco aquí y allá estas próximas semanas, y participamos con @theunfinishedsympathy en algunos de los festivales de amigos que celebraban su antigüedad (que es casi la misma que la nuestra) como el @actitudfestvidreres , el @the_lemon_day , el Sugar Il.legal y l @inciviczone . Y mientras he ido tocando en solitario y en acústico (porque le he vuelto a encontrar el gustillo), con Mad Squad y con Unfinished, he conocido a la gente de @mimetictheory de Bcn, @palodomado de Benicarló y @peligroband de Mallorca y nos hemos puesto a trabajar en la producción de sus respectivos lanzamientos. Resim sanatı, en büyük itibarı görür ve Avrupa’dan getirilen ressamlar sarayda istihdam edilir. Bu yüzyılın sonlarına doğru sarayda görevlendirilen ressamlardan biri de İtalyan asıllı Fausto Zonaro’dur. 1891’de İstanbul’a gelen Zonaro, 1896’da II. Sanatının zirvesini yaşadığı bu yıllarda pek çok esere imza atar, sergiler açar ve aynı zamanda resim dersleri verir. Padişahın iradesiyle kurulan silah müzesinin komisyonunda yer alan Zonaro, Osmanlı askerlerini resmederek bir albüm halinde saraya sunar. 27 ayrı suluboya resmin yer aldığı “Osmanlı Askerleri Albümü” bu kitapta ilk defa yayımlanıyor. Die Macht der Zirbeldrüse - Was wird uns mit diesem Symbol seit Jahrhunderten versucht mitzuteilen? Der Papst hält es in seiner Hand auf seinem Zepter - Symbol über die Kontrolle dieses Organs? Die Zirbeldrüse wird auch als Sitz der Seele genannt, das dritte Auge. Leider ist sie bei den meisten Menschen durch schlechte Ernährung und durch die Einnahme von Medikamenten zurück gebildet und verkleinert und durch die Flouride verkalkt worden, sodass sie ihre Funktion nur noch in geringen Maßen erfüllen kann. Olá Oláá! Tudo bem com vocês? Hoje temos a resenha adiantada da leitura coletiva do @clube_do_livro_rj do mês de agosto: Mitologia Nórdica, do Neil Gaiman, publicado numa edição lindíssima em capa dura pela @intrinseca. O encontro ainda nem aconteceu, mas como eu li em julho, já estou com a resenha prontinha aqui! #resenhadelivro Esse é um livro de contos contendo algumas lendas sobre a mitologia nórdica. O autor parece ter feito muita pesquisa e realmente domina o assunto, mas claro que algumas coisas vieram do seu ponto de vista e criatividade, afinal são lendas. Eu não conhecia muito sobre essas histórias, mas peguei algumas referências do pouco que eu sei dos filmes da Marvel, afinal Thor é um deus nórdico. Temos histórias envolvendo Thor, Odin, Loki e outros que podemos fazer um paralelo, embora eu não gostado muito da personalidade apresentada deles, apenas me divertia com as trapaças de Loki. Começamos com a criação do mundo e terminamos com o Ragnarok, passando por muitos fatos da vida desses deuses, mas não nos aprofundamos em nenhum deles. Ficamos sabendo da criação de alguns objetos famosos da história deles e até conseguimos encontrar uma similaridade com outras culturas, como a mitologia grega. É uma leitura muito fluida e os contos realmente me deixaram mais interessada na história. Eu li extremamente rápido e me diverti com boas doses de comédia e ação e fiquei querendo mais. Esse foi o meu primeiro contato com a escrita do Neil Gaiman e gostaria de ler outras obras mais complexas dele para conhecer mais. Mas achei uma ótima indicação começar por esse! “Angels & Archangels: A magician’s guide.” This is my latest book, which will be in stores this coming week. You can find a link for it in my bio. Since the book tour had to be canceled due to the pandemic, we scheduled a few virtual events which you can join me for from anywhere in the world. I tried to make this book as comprehensive and utilitarian as I possibly could for those who want to work with these intelligences in a practical way, but without being dry or academic. As the born optimist I am, hoping for just a little snow this winter - I played with making snow goggles today.❄️👓 Since I didn’t have a cool reindeer or whale bone, I went for an already curved piece of fresh birch wood. The curved grain is really important if you don’t want the goggles to crack, because it’s optimal to have them going into your head for most protection. I learned that the hard way (last picture; also those that almost bit didn’t make it.) Sometimes the only way to create progress is being ok with mistakes and to learn from them. Especially carving out the narrow slits to look through was a bit harder than it looks... 🔪 While I was carving I was thinking about other options for snow goggles in a survival situation. The intensity of the sun’s rays, reflected by the snow can cause severe snow blindness. You might have access to wood, but unless you have enough time and energy (took me about 3 hrs to make them right.) you will most likely have to look into other material options. Duct tape goggles was straight forward to make. They were kinda flimsy no matter how many layers I added on, and got too close to my eyes, making them relatively uncomfortable to wear. Bark from trees are shown as an option in many survival books. In real life they can be difficult to make because they also have a tendency to crack easily when bended, and/or get too close to your eyes. Especially in the winter time because the sap goes deeper in the tree to protect them, leaving the bark more dry. Webbing from a rucksack, textile strips from a t-shirt, leather belt to cut out, cordage from some of your gear (because natural cordage is hard to get at winter unless you use roots.) You might have many more ideas but I’m sure you get the point. What’s on you is a bonus. If I were to walk a long time outdoors in snow, protecting my eyes, I have no doubt now that I would prefer using a little extra time on some goggles in hard material as eg. wood. Pelvis is king! I’ve seen first hand how the use of my Reavy Method can change, correct and in some cases, fix scoliosis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔸My Experience: Improvement has occurred with several of my own Scoliosis patients I’ve treated here at React. In a 60 year old patient I’ve seen scoliosis improve (somewhat reverse) with my patient’s curve going from 58 deg to 48 deg, and my 10 year old patient went from 28 deg to 8 deg! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔸How is this possible? Pelvis is King! You start at the pelvis and you can start to change it. The position of your bones dictate how your muscles work. In Scoliosis patients I see a Sacrum that is rotated one direction and stuck there which causes the lumbar spine to rotate the opposite way and then the Thoracic spine counterbalances that which creates that S curve you often see. You put the pelvis back in alignment/neutral and then the spine in neutral; this allows the proper contraction and counterbalance of your muscles. This requires returning the body, both bones and muscles, back to neutral and then having the motor control, strength, and endurance of the muscles to sustain it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Congenital scoliosis is a spinal deformity in which a sideways curvature of the spine is caused by a defect present at birth. Congenital scoliosis occurs in only 1 in 10,000 newborns and is much less common than idiopathic scoliosis, which usually becomes evident in adolescence. This means that the way we hold our body/bones dictate how your muscles work. You do it long enough you dont have the strength or motor control to undue it and you become stuck in that position. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔸Food for thought: The question I pose is why does idiopathic (unknown cause) scoliosis occur in adolescence and why does it affect females 10x more than men? I believe it is muscular development and muscular strength.
