Dear Frankie, How was this day already three weeks ago?! All of this feels like a dream from the day you were born to now as I feed you with one hand and type this with the other. I was so determined to get photos of you as soon as possible in the hospital that I hardly waited for the epidural to wear off and to feel my legs. I stood over you in my hospital gown barely able to stand and your daddy by my side ready to catch me if my legs gave out. I was in awe of this tiny little girl looking back at me that was just in my belly a few hours prior. I’ve been to the hospital multiple times to welcome friend’s and family’s babies. I’ve photographed countless newborns. This time, the bundle of joy in the hospital, the subject in front of my camera was mine. My daughter. Frankie Willow. I must tell you the story of how I prayed for you and how the moon & creator listened..🙏🏾 Around December I asked Your mom to take a pregnancy test because she mentioned being a little late for mother nature’s monthly visit. After taking it we found she was not. We were both bummed as usual but not in shock seeing as we had been struggling for the past 2 years and were scheduled for infertility counseling etc.. so we kept trying..😏 Though I stayed strong for your mom and tried to make it seem like to didn’t bother me deep down it was eating me alive. So the week following your mom getting a negative test I remember it being a full moon. I was out feeding the horses at night and I couldn’t help but stare up at the moon and cry. I asked the creator why this was happening and prayed he would one day bless us with a child. Well the month following your mom got positive test and we bout died with happiness!! Haha Fast forward 9 months and on the Sunday before the week you were I was sitting on the porch with your grandpa @dramslc and he was asking me when I thought you would be born. Not knowing your mom would need an emergency c section and that we had actually missed the appointment for the Friday (week before) and had to reschedule for Tuesday. I told your grandpa you would be born on the day for the full moon. He asked me how I knew and I told him I could just feel it.. Well Tuesday comes around and we go into the appointment and we find out your cute lil ass has come today because you had enough of being squished in mommy! Haha And then your mommy brought you into the world. Tuesday September 1, 2020. Exact day of the full moon. 🌕 I couldn’t be more proud of you & your mommy!
