We are deeply saddened by the tragic events of August 4 in Lebanon and hope your families and knowledge will all be safe and sound. As you know, a massive chemical explosion shook Beirut on August 4, devastating the city and causing more than 200 deaths, more than 5 injured and many missing. More than 300 people have lost everything, including their homes and property, and thousands of people are starving and struggling without electricity and basic necessities. As a business, we believe its important to unite and help the people of Beirut survive these tragic events and start rebuilding their lives, communities and beautiful city. In collaboration with the Humanitarian Coalition and its partners in Lebanon, we have created the Beirut page, All Our Love Aid & Relief to raise funds to help provide humanitarian and relief assistance on the ground. The Government of Canada has announced that it will support donations from Canadian individuals to the Humanitarian Coalition and its members, up to $ 5 million. All donations will go to charitable organizations members of the Humanitarian Coalition and their partners in Lebanon to help the victims of the explosion. We ask for your support by sharing the link and posting below on social media in your area to help us reach our fundraising goal: Please join us in helping #Beirut deal with the devastating consequences of the August 4 chemical explosion! More than 300 people have lost their homes, more than 200 people have died, more than 5 are injured and many are still missing. In collaboration with the Humanitarian Coalition and their partners in #Lebanon, we have created the Beirut, All Our Love Aid & Relief page to raise funds to provide relief and help victims of the explosion and to help the people of Beirut rebuild their lives, communities and beautiful city. - A|bit|S of Love - . @alines.simonfstudio . *** If Brownie had an older sister, Blondie is her name. Pale in color, yet denser and richer in texture. The vanilla-based and brown sugar give off the enticing aroma and flavor of a Blondie. A sweet and delicate bar best serves cold, and taken with a cup of black coffee. . It can be quite overwhelming when preparing your product to be sent out to your client. . But when it’s made with your own personal touch and love... . Today is Constitution Day. Drafted in secret by delegates to the Constitutional Convention during the summer of 1787, this four-page document, signed on this day in 1787, established the government of the United States. The Federal Convention convened in the State House (now known as Independence Hall) in Philadelphia on May 14, 1787, to revise the Articles of Confederation. Because the delegations from only two states were at first present, the members adjourned from day to day until a quorum of seven states was obtained on May 25. Through discussion and debate it became clear by mid-June that, rather than amend the existing Articles, the Convention would draft an entirely new frame of government. All through the summer, in closed sessions, the delegates debated, and redrafted the articles of the new Constitution. Among the chief points at issue were how much power to allow the central government, how many representatives in Congress to allow each state, and how these representatives should be elected — directly by the people or by the state legislators. The work of many minds, the Constitution stands as a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise. Test your knowledge of this founding document in our story today. How much do you know about the Constitution? ... Photo: The Constitution of the United States, page 1, 9/17/1787.
