♡ Your body knows, your body never lies and your body holds onto and remembers whats going on. Even though we might think were at the wheel when we suppress or ignore or judge a feeling or emotion...it is actually your body that is in charge. It will take note and it will feel that the emotion has not been properly dealt with. It will then hold onto it until it ís revisited, processed, released and healed. Oftentimes we dont revisit the suppressed emotion and at one point in time the body just cannot hold it in any longer. The thicking timebomb will explode. If you are lucky this explosion might present itself as an angerattack, a short tirednessspell or a headache. If youre less fortunate it might express itself in migraines, chronic illness, severe exhaustion, infections, injuries or things like severe overwhelm, burnout, depression or PTSD. What to learn from this? Whenever you can, try to welcome your feelings and emotions, give them space, experience and acknowledge them, honor and process them and then release them. And dont forget to involve your body when you do this. Just notice where the feeling is located and how your body responds when you give it attention. WINE 🍷 USED TO FIX ALL MY PROBLEMS…NOW MY THRIVING 🔥SEX LIFE DOES THE TRICK! Sis, the only way I used to get through an exhausting & stressful day was that glass of wine at happy hour to unwind with. I knew when I took the first sip of wine all my stress would disappear for at least a few hours. Nothing worse than waking up with a hangover and remembering about all the stress in my life, can you relate? Took me almost my whole 20’s and becoming a mother to realize some stressors are too big even for wine 🙈 I saw most women in this nasty cycle of high stress during the day, wine🍷 at night, coffee ☕️ in the morning and god forbid if we ever speak of that one week a month we all lay in bed wondering why our life hates us. This seemed to be normal for women, so I jumped on the band wagon. That was my first mistake... I refused to continue living: ⁉️In constant fight mode ⁉️feeling guilty for simply just resting vs the constant boss babe mode ⁉️never getting the results I wanted with my body ⁉️having hormone mood swings ⁉️brain fog that exhausted my energy all day every day ⁉️feeling shame around talking about my vagina & inner sexiness. I HAD ENOUGH. READY TO JOIN ME??? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I finally stepped out of the norm (Trust me, it was scary) and started making my own rules for ME and MY HEALTH...HELL YES FOR FEMALE EMPOWERMENT 👏🏻👏🏻 That is how and why I created the Thriving Cycle Method 🔥🔥 To help women like you and me SAY ENOUGH!!! I own the fact that I made the choice to get involved with COV|D-19, but I feel called to share that I have found 2020 really challenging at times. Like many of us, I simply can not rationalize how this has been managed by those in power, the political games, the manipulation, the lies, the deceit, the unnecessary deaths, people dying alone and from loneliness, families unable to say good bye to their loved ones with the respect and dignity they deserve, the sheer size of the collateral damage..... This pandem!c has been our mirror - highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly, in a world that we have all played a role in creating. More recently, I have reached the point where I have to believe that there is design, order and intelligence to this. I have to believe that the silver linings will prevail, and that transparency, health, wisdom and true change will be born out of this. This doesn’t mean that I don’t feel frightened at times, worried about what world my children will grow up in. This doesn’t mean that I have any less fire to create change and expose the truth. What this means is that my health and wellness is my priority, and I am choosing to come back to my power, every time I waiver. As my father would say, “don’t let the bastards get you down”. Inspired by Kelly Brogan, can you too consider that is may be a necessary phase of transition, a call to level up our strength, or a spiritual training camp, if you will? Remember, it is the judgement and the fighting with what is, that causes suffering. And as always, acknowledge your fear, your frustration, your anger, your rage. Today is Day 56 of being #unemployed 🤕 • Never in a gazillion years did I think I’d ever have to stitch “I” and “unemployed” in the same sentence. • Not after 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of dental school in the PH, another 2.5 years of dental school in the US, plus all the endless, mind-numbing exams and clinical struggles in between. 🤯 Talk about bad ROI. 😒 Thank god my parents of perpetual help aren’t counting on their investment return (because there isn’t any). 🤦🏻♀️ /rant over • Obviously, this picture was taken before the pandemic started and I can guarantee you, I look 10x worse now — which I’ve come to accept is perfectly OKAY ✌🏻 considering everything else that’s going on. 😷 • We’re all struggling and it’s a little hard to talk about, but to whoever is reading this: please know that you are not alone and it’s perfectly okay to feel frustrated/angry/depressed/hopeless right now. ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 • So here’s the deal: if you want to look like shit and hide from the world 🐣, NOW is the perfect time to do just that. If you feel like screaming your lungs out with expletives 🤬, by all means please explode (for your mental health’s sake).
