Некий шаблон, который в его голове тебе подходит. И больно тогда, когда ты слышишь о разочаровании. Но дело не в тебе! Дело в «мне хотелось бы, чтобы ты была такой...», когда в действительности ты другая. ⠀ И поверь, такая призма есть у каждого! Важно замечать это в себе, и все таки ценить людей такими, какими они есть на самом деле. ⠀ Так как у меня публичная профессия, я так часто слышу «нет, ты можешь лучше», «это на тебя не похоже», «обычно ты другая», НО НЕТ, ты не можешь решить за меня какая я и что могу. Это решаю только Я. И если я делаю или говорю нечто, то потому что так считаю правильным, нужным, органичным здесь и сейчас. В этом и есть сила личности. ⠀ Не позволяй чужим ожиданиям разрушать тебя и сбивать с пути. Будь максимально собой, ведь есть только одна попытка, длиною в жизнь. ⠀ Признаюсь честно, что часто ощущаю давление ожиданий окружающих, и только дома, сняв лишнее с себя, оставив любой образ самой красивой и любимой съёмки, я могу расслабиться и чувствовать такую мощную свободу. В такие моменты я всегда должна быть в самом лучшем - в натуральном, мягком, качественном, красивом. Потому что я люблю себя как есть. I believed then that I had to be constantly busy to be successful. I measured my worth in billable hours and likes. I compared myself and my work unendingly to others. // It left me like a dry creek in the deep heat of summer - empty. // This last year (and a half) has leveled me. @treason_dahl For ELLE Uk May. Im still struggling with the concept of posting fashion images at a time like this. Two years ago I had to take a long break from the fashion industry for exactly the reasons that are coming to surface at the moment. We need to take a very hard look at the contribution we are making to these issues. Namely the one where we glorify products/lifestyles that predominantly only privileged white people can afford at the expense of the people who produce them. Saying stuff on Instagram doesnt solve anything but I hope that by voicing these issues and listening to the calls for action we can begin to take the steps together to disrupt this injustice. You probably never would have guessed that this photo was taken at the Indiana Dunes when it was 25-30 degrees out. We photographed each look in 5 minutes and then had to run back to the car to warm up. Luckily since it was so cold out, there was no one on the beach, and we were able to capture these ethereal looking images. ⠀ ⠀ I do most of my shoots at my studio now, but Im getting bored of shooting in the same space over and over again.
