This guy in this picture has been walking on this Earth for 27 years, although it seems to him that he is 19. But seriously, then ... ⠀ The 26th year of my life brought me to a new career, although all the previous 25 years I thought I was born for other things. So all I mean is we are more versatile than we think. ⠀ I dont have enough acting, and in particular the stage, but my current fashion profession is a link in the same creative chain. Sublimation is it’s name, the circulation of energy in the Nature. I started being shot as an actor much more when I started shooting others, and this is not a paradox, but a pattern. Creativity attracts creativity, and thats about everything. ⠀ The 26th year is about new paths that I took. I’m still a bit scary so far. It is about numerous of new acquaintances and friends, but even stronger love for the old ones. 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 This week marks Beat Plastic Week to raise awareness for plastic pollution. @asotlive host @arminvanbuuren partnered up with World Wildlife Fund (@wwf) in the battle to #BeatPlastic and as a global event organization, we at ALDA realize the environmental consequences of events. We at ALDA believe that plastic pollution is a significant issue to address. As the organization behind ASOT950, we decided it was time to take action to make our events plastic smart. Let’s take a look back at this successful night. During the celebration of the 950th episode of A State of Trance, we called our visitors to action to bring back their plastic items and cans to the bar. In return, visitors received unique codes to have a chance to win amazing prizes. In addition, a special green team helped to create awareness among the visitors by starting conversations about the use of plastic and the reward system. - With the #BeatPlastic campaign during ASOT950, we reached 4 million people. - 60% of all visitors helped us recycle. - 74,000 plastic items and cans were brought back to the bar and did not end up on the ground. - We reduced a total of 142,200 plastic items. - We banned all single-use plastics like confetti, balloons, straws, and streamers. These results are already incredible and show that together, we can make a change in the world to beat plastic. The goal is to make all of our future events more plastic smart and we will take all the steps to make that a reality. Are you already plastic conscious? לפני כמה שנים נוכחתי שיש לי במגירות הרבה שירי ילדים שהצטברו. היו שם שירים של ע.הלל שהלחנתי להצגה ולא יצאו ושירים של נירה הראל שיועדו לגידי גוב ולא הוקלטו וגם של יונתן גפן ועוד. ֿֿ הצעתי לשלושת הזמרים שעובדים איתי: יעל צבי, יעל נחשון ואיתי פרל להפגש אחת לשבועיים שלושה לעבודה על החומר הזה. וכך במשך כשנה של פגישות התגבשו השירים עד שהיו מוכנים להקלטה. לא רק על חיות אנחנו שרים באלבום הזה, יש שיר על ילד שמחכה ער בלילה להוריו עד שיחזרו ומקנא באחיו הקטן הישן ללא דאגות, יש שיר על ילדה ששרה לאמא שלה שגם היא בעצם מעין ילדה, יש שיר על העננים שבשמיים מעלינו, ויש מחרוזת של שירי ילדים מוכרים: לקחתי כמה וכמה טקסטים של שירים מוכרים כמו יונתן הקטן השפן הקטן ועוגה עוגה והלחנתי אותם מחדש. וגם ישנה מעין אופרטה קטנה המספרת על פנינה חתולת רחוב עליה כתב יונתן גפן. לשמחתי הרבה ארבעת שותפי להרכב הכבש ה-16 : יהודית, גידי, דויד ויונתן עצמו הסכימו ברצון להשתתף בהקלטת השיר, כאילו לא עברו 40 שנה. - @yoni.rechter on Instagram

Seeking a now that can breed futures The group exhibition and collective performance Seeking a now that can breed futures presents reflections on today’s society by artists whose communities have been experiencing discrimination, censorship and other institutional constraints as well as artists who identify as political allies. The viewer is called to reflect on different views and concerns shared in the shape of protest signs by the Brazilian artists Filipe Lippe and Camila Oliveira Fairclough, the Chinese artist Aaajiao, the French artist Sylvie Fanchon, the Franco-Egyptian artist Hoda Tawakol, the German artists Moshtari Hilal and Stefan Marx, the Indian artist Sarah Naqvi, the Nigerian artist Karo Akpokiere and the Sudanese artist Eythar Gubara.⠀ ⠀ The artists narratives, contextualized on wooden panels and made of paint, pencil or textile, are expressed in various forms and languages, abstract, figurative or textual. ‘Seeking a now that can breed futures’ is a space that wants to inhabit multiple perspectives on social inequalities without any attempt to create a uniform voice. In fact, it sees difference rather than sameness as a crucial resource for social change. The exhibition, and its collective performance, aim to inspire its audience to rethink the subjects chosen by the artists. It also intends to challenge the increasing separation between the art world and social struggle in our ever-growing capitalist world. In late January, when hospitals in the United States confirmed the presence of the novel #coronavirus, health workers knew to watch for precisely three symptoms: fever, cough, and shortness of breath. But as the number of infections climbed, the symptom list began to grow. Some patients lost their sense of smell and taste. Some had nausea or diarrhea. Some had arrhythmias or even heart attacks. Some had damaged kidneys or livers. Some had headaches, blood clots, rashes, swelling, or strokes. Many had no symptoms at all. . When UCSF researchers tested people for SARS-CoV-2 in San Francisco’s Mission District, 53% of those infected never had any symptoms. “That’s much higher than expected,” says Monica Gandhi, MD, MPH, a UCSF professor of medicine with expertise in HIV. Surveys of outbreaks in nursing homes and prisons show similar or even higher numbers. “If we did a mass testing campaign on 300 million Americans right now, I think the rate of asymptomatic infection would be somewhere between 50% and 80% of cases,” Gandhi says. Millions of people may be spreading the virus without knowing it, she points out, making asymptomatic transmission the Achilles’ heel of efforts to control the pandemic – and highlighting the importance of universal masking. .
