Oregon is on fire and it was a week without power (or phone service). It’s hard to breathe, my eyes burn, the trails are closed, and I had to cut out of a 7 backpacking trip. It sucks. Who else misses live music? • • • It’s truly one of my favorite things! My first concert was The Grateful Dead when I was 15 at the Shoreline Amphitheater. I’ve heard many incredible, legendary artists over the years and have a little trophy box filled with ticket stubs. The music, the vibes, the laughter and the memories keep me craving all the concert experiences. • • • I live just a mile down the road from a beautiful amphitheater at Vina Robles Winery where I was fortunate enough to see @pepperlive crush it up on stage. Toward the end of that show, my friend, Kelly threw a 1977 hat on stage (I made our friends 1977 hats as we celebrated her husband’s 40th birthday) and Kaleo grabbed it and put it on his amp. A month later Kelly called and exclaimed, “he was wearing it in one of their recorded shows!” What a cool feeling to see a musician I respect and adore rocking something I hand made. • • • Fast forward through the years and I feel blessed to have met the band backstage in Avila Beach. I see why I’m so drawn to Pepper’s music. Their talent is undeniable but it’s their heart’s that are infectious. • • • Kaleo and his beautiful wife, Melanie also come up to Paso Robles when they offer an awesome yoga retreat. After, Kaleo performs live at the Wine Boss where the owner, Tommy pours delicious wines and has the whole crowd feeling the love! Good people coming together through great music is nothing shy of magic. • • • And now... I’m honored to have the opportunity to make hats for @pepperwineexperience and @wineboss_pasorobles. Thank you for allowing me to share my truth through hats. My heart is completely full as I create and connect with others.
