Я уверен, что среди вас очень много людей, кто хоть раз пробовал покататься на доске по воде. И вы все точно знаете, что этими видами спорта можно заниматься и в России. Уже во всю работают школы серфинга в Калининграде, Питере, на Камчатке. Везде, где есть волны и ветер, в хороший прогноз можно встретить не одного случайно затерявшегося человека в воде, а целую толпу народа, которая получает удовольствие от того, что они ловят наши волны, в наших, зачастую холодных водах. ⠀ Но есть одна большая проблема и у неё есть конкретное имя - @aeroflot Являясь нашим национальным перевозчиком, имея лучший самолетный парк, классный аэропорт Шереметьево, кучу наград, эта авиакомпания не просто мешает развитию этих видов спорта в России, она их убивает. ⠀ Допустим, вдруг вы решили взять серф/виндсерф/кайт и отправиться в Сочи/Камчатку/Калининград. За второе место багажа вам придется заплатить 3000 рублей и это вполне ок. Но поскольку это сумка будет большая, то за ее размер дополнительно нужно оплатить еще 6000 рублей. А если, вдруг, это виндферв, то комплект весит более 23 кг и накинут ещё 3000. Итого, слетать куда-то с виндсерфом стоит 12 тысяч рублей в один конец😱 С серфом можно уложится в 9. Билет в Сочи стоит от 7К туда обратно, на Камчатку плоский тариф 22 туда обратно. Получается перевести оборудование стоит дороже самого билета. Всё, на этом ваше желание брать инвентарь с собой сразу отпадает. Но вот если вы летите по одному из 8 зарубежных направлений (Бали, Мальдивы, Каир, Тель-Авив итп), то серф автоматически идет бесплатно. Это классно, спасибо вам за прекрасное Бали, но не думаю, что такие тарифы по России приносят большую выручку. ⠀ Давайте мы попробуем вместе что-то поменять. Questo sport mi ha insegnato tantissime cose, ha cambiato le mie abitudini, mi ha fatto apprezzare e vedere cose che non avrei mai immaginato. Mi ha spinto a viaggiare, ad andare dall’altra parte del mondo in cerca delle onde incontrando persone di ogni parte, e vedendo luoghi fantastici. Mi ha fatto anche conoscere meglio la mia terra, la Sardegna, che grazie alle mareggiate invernali, ci regala onde che sono paragonabili ad alcune onde dell’oceano. Le parole non bastano per esprimere la gratitudine e la passione che ho verso questo sport. Posso solo continuare a praticarlo finchè ne avrò le forze, perchè la passione non si spegnerà mai. Hi. Been feeling all over the place between waves of anxiety, hopelessness, anger, and fear in this strange coronavirus reality. I’m so very lucky to be able to work from home, but it’s also been a time of real reflection on what productivity means in our American value system. It feels like a jarring and enlightening reset, and I’m lost. We all have people we love who are working in health care, who are immunocompromised, who have lost their job—it’s dire, and the impending uncertainty of the coming weeks (months) feels heavy. Make MN has never been a moneymaker, but I’m really worried about the future of this mag when half our sales come from local stores that are mostly shut down. Collaborations with local events are also huge in us being able to print mags and pay contributors—which are totally (rightfully) off the calendar for many months. I’m doing lots of thinking about how we can evolve and what the needs of our communities are—but oof, it’s a lot. All this said, I know that publishing this magazine is an incredible privilege, and I want the stories and voices within all future issues to really benefit and elevate the humans featured and their communities. I’m grateful for everyone who has helped make this magazine—our art director, @saradellefowler, cover artists, writers, and photographers. It’s been an honor to share interviews, stories, essays, and guides from some of the most inspiring, talented makers, artists, organizations, activists, Minnesotans. I want equity and truth and resonance in our storytelling—and our changing economy will undoubtedly change the way we go about it. There are too many amazing mission-driven creatives who support and cultivate community in innovative ways to stop sharing their stories. Join us, contribute your voice and your art, share your story, and if you have the means, ordering a magazine from our site goes a long way for us. Friday, August 28, 2020 - The day Dom and I were supposed to get married. Needless to say, COVID changed our plans a little and forced us to do something else. Instead, we crossed North America twice, met awesome people, started working on an epic project and realized how lucky we were to do all this. We also learned the English word “postponed” and that’s what we’ll do with our wedding today. We’ll get married in exactly 365 days. But for now, Dom and I will leave our phones in the van for 24 hours and do our own little ceremony in Victoria’s harbour, BC. Alone. With some occasional seals interrupting our conversations. Plutôt, on a traversé lAmérique du Nord deux fois, on a rencontré des gens passionnants, on a commencé à travailler sur un projet duquel on rêvait depuis longtemps mais on a surtout réalisé à quel point on était chanceux de vivre tout ça. C’est aussi là qu’on a appris le mont anglais postponed et cest exactement ce qu’on compte faire du mariage. Nous nous marierons dans exactement 365 jours. Mais pour linstant, Dom et moi allons laisser nos téléphones dans la van pendant 24 heures et faire notre propre petite cérémonie dans le port de Victoria, au BC. Seuls. The past week has been one of the best weeks I’ve had in the past 12+ months. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to spend time in two of my favourite places on the east coast. Starting off at Boomerang Beach just a short drive north from Sydney and finishing up in Crescent head only a stones throw north. These two amazing houses have been on my bucket list for a long and they definitely did not disappoint 😍I met some legendary people, ate some epic food, drank lots of beer haha got fun waves every day and had some much needed chill time! Who knew that coming to visit family and friends in Kyiv for a few weeks, will turn into what currently is 6 months and who knows how much longer. ⠀ I am not complaining. I haven’t been home for that long in the last 10 years and I truly enjoy my time here. ⠀ However, I can’t help but wonder when will be the next time I’ll travel again. ⠀ Кто бы мог подумать, что приехав домой на 3-4 недели, перерастёт в пол года и больше. ⠀ Ни в коем случае не жалуюсь.
